On Tuesday I came back to Destiny 2 to play the new Warmind DLC, and I was eager to start playing. After I played the first and second mission, I started to notice hitching and screen tearing, note that I haven't been experiencing these issues before I took a break from Destiny 2 on PC which was in January 2018. Examples that I can give include, when I was running across the map the visuals didn't look as smooth as they should, and when I'm in open public areas like patrols.
I also experienced some hitching/screen tearing while in the character menus, this particular issue seems to only happen when I'm using my Xbox controller though. I was really confused by this because my Gaming PC build consists of parts that are more than capable of handling stuff in this game with no issues.
I'm not experiencing any frame drops when this happens, I'm running the game at 1080p 60fps and I
have the Frame Rate Cap option enabled, (The monitor I play games on is only 60hz, but if I had a better monitor I would probably do 120fps). Last night I tried playing with the settings, uninstalling then reinstalling the game, checking for driver updates, and none of it seemed to help. Yesterday morning I decided to try and replace the HDMI cable I had connected to my monitor, but that didn't seem to work either.
I don't know if any of my computer parts went bad or if my monitor went bad. I did try to see if any of these issues would happen in another game though. Yesterday I tested out my PC's performance while playing No Man's Sky on High settings, and I didn't experience any issues. So now I really don't know what the problem is.
If anyone has any suggestions on what I should do, please feel free to share.
Edit #1: I'm doing one of the Adventures where you go inside of one of the Clovis Bray bases on Mars (The Adventure is called "Hephaetus"), and the amount of stuttering/hitching is insane.
Edit #2: The stuttering/hitching issue is not only happening on Mars. I'm currently on Nessus checking Xur's inventory and it's happening there too. Just going to go a head and assume that the stuttering/hitching issue is happening on all planets.

has bungie replied on this at all? I'm still having the same exact issue and it's only gotten worse.
