After watching the Forsaken reveal stream I have several issues with the overall package. I for one am excited to see the prospect of Destiny 2 finally becoming a good game, and not just something trying to climb out of its predecessor's shadow. I have played Destiny since the first game and would love nothing more than for D2 to succeed. However i can not justify the pricing or the model in which it is being delivered. A vast majority of features and updates being added in Forsaken are locked behind a purchase of the expansion, meaning that those who don't fork out the money will be left with an objectively inferior product. It would be an easier pill to swallow if it wasn't as expensive as the base game at launch. The idea of the annual pass is simply too much as well. The idea of getting loyal fans to pay even more for 3 expansion when we don't even know how well Forsaken will do is just absurd. If Forsaken flops, (which is very possible due to the price) people will have paid even more money for 3 dead on arrival expansions. Bungie need to increase the community's trust if they can even hope to sell this expansion and annual pass, and even then the price still sticks out like a sore thumb.
