So I get the reason why they made it account-wide, but in my opinion this was the worst answer to the problem. My pride and joy was kitting out each class with their own faction armour, shaders and weapons, but now I can't do that unless I want my Titan to betray New Monarchy. I liked thematics and it actually made me play the game more, grind out the ornaments for Dead Orbit on my Hunter, FWC for my Warlock, then earn the win on my Titan. Why can't they just have permanent pledges, like D1, but the rally week gives you an option to change? And you can't equip the gear unless you're pledged to the respective faction? Same as class armour, same as the exotic faction class items in D1! That would still make your choice meaningful. Just one answer to the issue. Again it feels like they had a system, they had an answer, but they felt the need to change it.
