I hope that the decision to roll out crucible labs with a slight variation to 4x4 clash pvp was a low stretch system test of the live launch environment - a simple variance to allow for any backend aberrations to be tracked without a lot of worry of issues on the player side.
But future CLs need to be bringing some of that sweet old space magic in order to make the feature something exciting, and not another Infinite Forest (sorry unfulfilled dreams of wild reality simulator features and content). New CL modes need to be robust, compelling experiments. I want to play quidditch on my sparrow with the javelin.
Or marry Rift and Zone Control together, spawn the javelin in the middle and the only way to score points is to either dunk or hurl the javelin into the enemy rift.
Give us a sticky-nade dodgeball mode, gun games, a lightless mode. We have the space magic, we can make it better!
Honestly one of the most disappointing things for me with Curse of Osiris was why there wasn't an adventure where Shaxx takes over the Infinite Forest, and uses it to create a slew of pvp modes to better train and prepare Guardians in the wake of the Red War.
Warmind is a great step, buts your still only taking steps. Hope we see some leaps soon.
