Okay, Just got back into Destiny 2 after the recent DLC, and i'm going to try my best to be objective. Up to this point I've always played three Warlocks. Did it all through Destiny, and spent the time to level all three characters back up - after Bungie decided it was fitting to nuke every ones gear and levels (fair enough, it tied into the story). With that being said, I've always come back to play the DLC as it refreshes the lifespan of the game AFTER I've played all the available content, and hit the level cap. Recently i noticed i didn't seem to be getting any "powerful engrams" from any of the milestones on my other two warlocks...which led me to do a little researching, after i noticed the raid chests were going the same way. However, i became EXTREMELY irritated at a patch note that was more under the radar i had learned about while playing this past weekend. Apparently, someone though it was a good idea to Keep players from "leveling to quick" by creating same class characters. So, in other terms, only 1 of my 3 warlocks can earn "powerful engrams" from the weekly milestone(my only hope in leveling with the other two characters are engram drops form the raid or nightfall, which are always hit or miss). Excuse my french, but this is BS. Let's be honest, You're bottle necking players so they don't become more uninterested in your game sooner. ALL the while PENALIZING all of us who actually ENJOY playing the same character and come back to the game and buy all your OVERPRICED DLC!!!! With that being said, i probably won't be coming back to Destiny outside of friend requests. Because, the Bungie team has pretty much told me all the work, money, and time i spent in my Warlocks was a waist of my time, and they care more about bottle necking players to squeeze more hours out of your pathetic excuse for "paid content." I'm extremely disappointed, especially when i found out they it was a patch implemented more recently to root out leveling to quick. Really, WTF?! You waited ALL this time to put a patch in for that kind of thing? IF you really want to fix the issue - block characters from trading EVERYTHING between characters...like every other RPG's! I'm sure you've heard of "soulbound", "bind on equip", or "Bind on Pickup". USE YOUR HEADS! Stop fixing things that AREN'T BROKEN!!! But nope, we don't want to do that, so we'll just punish you for having to many of the same character class. Is this ever going to get fixed, or do i need to make sure i don't purchase anymore copies of Destiny or the DLC? As the decision is going to disable me from enjoying the characters i choose to play, in the game i paid for. Since I'm 1 of a few million people who play this game across the systems, i'm curious to know if anyone else is outraged at this poor decision from Bungie.

Edited by Mulloway69: 12/1/2019 11:33:22 PMSigned. I want to emphasise the point here that Bungle are obviously just making it so that people HAVE to spend a life-dominating amount of time to be able to participate in this game fully, rationalising that their world has more players grinding for longer which improves the experience for all. The ONLY choice should be, play one class: miss out on enjoying & experiencing the other classes. Those two choices alone should be enough of a dilemma for there to be plenty of hardcore gamers that roll 3 classes. It shouldn't be miss out on gear/ drops that you earn by playing 2 extra toons worth of content. Explanation that YOU don't want to force players to play one class is total BS and a weak attempt at deception. Especially hard to swallow seeing as you are happy to force rolling 3. Vanilla D1 player here and IF I buy D3 I will only roll one character and that's a big if, seeing as this is a solid deal breaker for me not being able to keep up with the player base that no-life this game whilst demanding I have similar stats or weapons as them in order to participate in non-matchmaker content. I think this decision has/will drive away more players than it keep, especially when our choices are no life Destiny permanently or experience the game with a casual players limited options. I enjoyed the game so much more after I deleted my other classes and rolled 2 more of the same and have comparatively played much less overall since D2's nerf to second character same class. It actually seems to have been nerfed even harder since shadowkeep, there is no point doing nightfall or raids on second characters now as you don't even receive lower level loot, you get absolutely nothing from chests. /rant

they said they were doing this since the start of the game, they know how we should play better than we do, welcome to destiny

I know the feeling. My 2nd hunter I never bothered to touch because this issue has been since day 1 of D2. He just sits there at light 100 in memory of the good old days where running 2 of the same class was actually fun. Gotta thank the idiot who thought that was a good idea. Did they not think some people share an account and enjoy the same class. Was a very stupid decision.

You're angry that it's taking you longer to reach Max level so you can stop playing essentially. Just stop playing now, it doesn't sound like you enjoy playing the game anyway
