I’m talking overall. Not just difficulty, but which one you enjoy the most.
IMO, Dark Souls 3 and Bloodborne are the best and the rest are leages behind then in terms of gameplay, map layout and all around fun. I’ve played every game multiple times now and I have to say 2 is the worst and 1 is falling short behind it.
Too slow for my liking mostly, but there are multiple reasons.
My personal order (best->worst) would be:
Bloodborne
Dark Souls 3
Demon Souls
Dark Souls 1
Dark Souls 2
-
Dark souls because bloodborne is a selfish ps exclusive
-
Dark souls 2 was my fav. Really enjoyed the variety i could use in pvp.
-
First Dark Souls for me. Never played Bloodborne because I don't have a PS4.
-
Is dark souls 3 harder than bloodborne? I’m interested in getting dark souls 3 sometime but I don’t want it to feel like a downgrade from bloodborne. I guess I’d just have to try it anyway.....is dark souls 3 tougher than bloodborne ?
-
Honestly, Dark 1 is my favorite, and BloodBorne is my least favorite. I'm a pretty aggressive player in souls, so I'm surprised I don't like the gameplay of BB. The setting I knew I wasn't going to like, but the base game mechanics surprise me.
-
For me in order: Demons Souls, it has a pretty low rating but that is probably because not many played it. Followed by Dark Souls, then comes.Bloodborn then Dark Souls 3 and then Dark Souls 2. Friendly reminder, no DaS 2 is not a bad game but it is IMO the weakest game in an fantastic franchise.

World design (both maps and lore), Dark Souls 1 Gameplay, Dark Souls 3
-
Crash Bandicoot Warped.
Someone had to do this
-
Whoever said dark souls 2 needs to get out of gaming
-
Bloodborne>Dark Souls II>Dark Souls>Dark Souls III But I love them all, of course.
-
Dark Souls 3. It's the most refined out of all of them and has the least amount of exploits.
-
Bloodborne. I can't really explain why, but I think it's the most satisfying out of any of the games. Dark Souls 3 is a close second, though.
-
Dark souls 3 for finishing some stories really well and out of all the boss fights in the Dark Souls franchise my favourite one ever imo The Nameless King battle. The music, the setting, boss phases everything just made it epic.
-
Is Bloodborne (first game) harder than the Dark Souls games?
-
Bloodborne has Ludwigs OST, sooo... But DS3 has my OST... I'm so conflicted ;-;
-
Bloodborne=DS2>Demon's>DS>DS3
-
I prefer Nioh. The combat system is way more intricate and allows for a wide variety of gameplay style.
-
I haven't bet Dark Souls yet, bought the remaster about a month ago. I really like it, despite a few particularly tedious challenges. I can't say if I like this more than Dark Souls 2 or Bloodborne yet, but I already like it more than Dark Souls 3.
-
Bloodborne for how visceral it is... ;) Dark Souls 3 for the call backs to 1 and 2... as well as (as far as I can tell) a bittersweet close to the trilogy.
-
I’ve only played DSI and Bloodborne. I got the latter on PS Plus and it’s become one of my favourite games of the generation. I’m not far into DSI on my fourth attempt right now. I much prefer Bloodborne, and I hear DSIII is the most similar Souls title. So I may get that sometime.
-
DS3 for me, was my first Souls game so found it difficult getting into 1 and 2 after. Still really enjoyed Bloodborne though just need to finish it
-
Bloodborne looks beautiful, plays fluidly and I believe has the best ost in the entire series. The fall off point for me would be weapon diversity.
-
-
I really liked Dark Souls 1 in terms of there being no fast travel. It made things so immersive, and created a wonderful head-map that I occasionally would think through to determine where I needed to go. That being said, I voted Bloodborne for combat and lore.
-
The DS games are fun, but they always felt a little more clunky in terms of movement. Bloodborne is much more fluid. Your character is less of a tank and more of a nimble glass cannon. Plus the lore and setting are way more appealing, imo.
