The grimoire card The Aftermath Uldren states he crash landed in the Candor Isles on a sand dune not in a cave in Hellas Basin. Also his crow fix his ship. The next Grimoire card states he was being dragged in Dirt not sand by his captures. Which would mean he and his ship wouldn't be on Mars and on Earth where his captors reside.
The next Grimoire card states he was being dragged in Dirt not sand by his captures.
There is dirt on Mars and something else as well Dust.
His arms ached. Two hands wrapped around each bicep like iron bands. He slumped, and the toes of his scuffed boots bumped over the stones and left trails in the dust.
Plenty of dust on Mars. But the line you are looking for is this.
He thought they would take him to a ketch. But they were deep underground. Not near the Cosmodrome, but... it didn’t matter.
But that only proves he was being held captive on Earth, not that he was captured on Earth. And there is proof that he was on Mars again after fixing his ship.
He’d spent weeks weaving the illusion that led the Fallen to him. He’d left bits of his trail where they couldn’t help but find them. He sulked from planet to planet—Mars, then Venus, then Mercury, then back again—following rumors and whispers. He’d hid from the Guardians, from his own people. He’d let everything they had built fall apart, while those still loyal to him searched every inch of this forsaken system.
Is it so far fetched to think he would leave his ship on Mars as either a misdirect, or with something in the logs to point to where he was going. Or Mars could be where he was captured and they transported him to Earth. They way it is worded he was transported somehow since he thought they would take him to a Ketch not Earth. What it is doing in the cave. That cave is also a Lost Sector full of Cabal. They could have found it and dragged it in there to study away from Rasputin and the Hive.
