The grimoire card The Aftermath Uldren states he crash landed in the Candor Isles on a sand dune not in a cave in Hellas Basin. Also his crow fix his ship. The next Grimoire card states he was being dragged in Dirt not sand by his captures. Which would mean he and his ship wouldn't be on Mars and on Earth where his captors reside.
-
He probably had to sell it to thaviks in exchange for loot because thaviks is invincible and will never be patched. And then thaviks decided to make one of his little electric shanks drive it
Now its on mars
-
It has a Fallen insignia on it. He made a deal with the Kell of Kings. The House of Dusk is an alliance with the a Fallen & the Reef. A fallen was piloting that ship, and it died in the crash. Sure it belonged to Uldred, but he wasn't the pilot.
-
Since later lore indicates he took over the House of Kings, and the ship itself has a fallen symbol, it’s probably either him crashing a second time, or a fallen pilot/awoken agent crashing or being shot down
-
It's also worth noting that Norkis was supposed to be erased from existence by the vex, hence the scannable in the dreadnought that your ghost can't find information on :D tbh seems like bungie hate lore now

Edited by U12070628: 5/23/2018 2:10:33 AMBungie probably doesn’t even know either “Bungie, why is prince uldrens ship crashed on mars??” Bungie: Oh, well that’s because... “But in the grimoire it said it crashed on candor isles in a sand dune” Bungie: ...it did? I think Bungie has Alzheimers...

One word?
FOLKLORE
Byf had a whole video on it, it's very interesting honestly.

Better yet how’d it get into the cave?

Ask Byf

<Why is Prince Uldren?>
-
Edited by Seraph: 5/23/2018 8:08:41 AMContinuity wise, I thought that the Grimoire card said that he crashed on Mars, so that much hasn’t changed. The main point of contention seems to be the location. The Grimoire card ends with Uldren telling his crows to repair his ship so it’s more than likely he crashed it again 😝.
-
Reasons. The same way Rasputin is on Mars 😂😂😂😂😂
-
His ship crashed on Mars, was repaired by his Crows, and then he went to Earth to take over House Kings. Presumably he then crashed on Mars again, because his pilot skills are on par with his people skills.
-
Uldren is a failure who crashed his ship twice. Best explanation.
-
You realize Candor Isles are on Mars right?
-
Poor ship mechanics and an unpaid GPS service.
-
Bungie got rid of the grimiore cards so they could make stuff up and change it at will. In D3 Rasputin will be on Pluto!!! If I was a Destiny lore YouTuber like Byf or Mylen Games, I would give up on Destiny lore right now. There are plenty of games with consistent lore to waste your time on stories that constantly get rewrote. Byf should start a mass effect or Dragon Age series
-
How did it crash into a subteranean cave?
-
Because they told us before D2 came out that it would be a soft reboot. That means retcon. Retcon means they change things. The grimoire was removed to keep people from confusing the old lore with the new. Hence why they called D1 comic book zero. Everyone, including Byf and Myelin, knew this. It seems to have been forgotten. That’s what the folklore line was about. That’s the in game “explanation” for most of the changes. I don’t like it either but the story has been under editing since before D1 came out. This was going to happen and they did warn us. Take every change in stride and adjust to it. It isn’t going away.

Really the problem is, how is is ship still on Mars, when he is not likely to be there. His Crows fixed the ship. He crashed half a world away. Ok, easy, the crows fixed the ship and he flew to Hellas Basis when he was shot down again. Ok, no problem, that explains things. Now how is he later captured by Fallen on Mars, whom have no presence, except for the house of Wolves. The grimoire card Does not specifically mentioned he's on Earth, only that he was not on his planet. So he could be on Earth or Venus as the moon is not a planet. So how does she crash on Mars and get to another planet with no ship. Unless the Kings are on Mars but we haven't found them yet. Or he gets another ship.

Byf did a vid on this
The next Grimoire card states he was being dragged in Dirt not sand by his captures.
There is dirt on Mars and something else as well Dust.
His arms ached. Two hands wrapped around each bicep like iron bands. He slumped, and the toes of his scuffed boots bumped over the stones and left trails in the dust.
Plenty of dust on Mars. But the line you are looking for is this.
He thought they would take him to a ketch. But they were deep underground. Not near the Cosmodrome, but... it didn’t matter.
But that only proves he was being held captive on Earth, not that he was captured on Earth. And there is proof that he was on Mars again after fixing his ship.
He’d spent weeks weaving the illusion that led the Fallen to him. He’d left bits of his trail where they couldn’t help but find them. He sulked from planet to planet—Mars, then Venus, then Mercury, then back again—following rumors and whispers. He’d hid from the Guardians, from his own people. He’d let everything they had built fall apart, while those still loyal to him searched every inch of this forsaken system.
Is it so far fetched to think he would leave his ship on Mars as either a misdirect, or with something in the logs to point to where he was going. Or Mars could be where he was captured and they transported him to Earth. They way it is worded he was transported somehow since he thought they would take him to a Ketch not Earth. What it is doing in the cave. That cave is also a Lost Sector full of Cabal. They could have found it and dragged it in there to study away from Rasputin and the Hive.
