I don’t think it’s overpowered. It’s definitely a kill-securing type of gun (AKA a beast, haha!), but the steady aim it takes to consistently land the critical hits necessary to go toe-to-toe with the likes of Vigilance Wing give it a skill floor.
What do you guys think? Too strong? Too inconsistent?

Edited by Seraph: 5/18/2018 11:09:58 AMI like where it's at right now. It finally feels useful in PVE and there's a certain 'wow' factor using it, but it's still not my favourite Exotic ( so I dispute any claims that it's OP, if it were OP, everyone would be using it ).

Fatebringer is a pulse rifle now
-
I think it needs to be stronger, along with every other weapon in the game. Destiny 1 had amazing guns that actually fired bullets. Destiny 2 guns feel like they shoot paper. I don't know why bungie saw the popularity of Destiny 1 PvP and said "let's make this less fun".
-
Edited by QUANTUM-CHUNGUS: 5/11/2018 12:39:23 PMThink it needs a little adjustment. Not a full on nerf but maybe a slight decrease in power or more recoil. Right now it's hard to take on at long range, even with a Jade Rabbit which is normally king at long range.
-
One word. FUN
-
It's lit now
-
Graviton and vilgilance wing are both good weapons. But I prefer vilgilance it’s somewhat better for close quarters
-
i think it felt better before and sounded better. now it feels like a scout

Edited by TheWagn: 5/10/2018 6:06:46 PMWe will have to see how the meta develops, but I think it is in a great place. It is secondary, so not only does it compete with vwing for exotic slot it also changes up your loadout you would normally run with vwing. It shreds with headshots but has a high skill ceiling so people can’t just pick it up and become gods. I also think (could be totally wrong) that enough resilience can let you survive 3 headshots which would be a nice incentive to run high res. Either that or I missed one of my first bullets in the burst a few times. It is limited in the range department and performs lackluster up close. Awesome explosions with the perk that make it a fun choice for pve. Great weapon now. Loving it. Bungo really nailed this one imo. Now just give sturm better handling please.
-
I've gotten quite a few multi kills in crucible with it...one was a triple kill.
-
Its good the way it is now. Its only a little "OP" when you find a group of pve enemies all bunched up together. But that's part of the appeal. Really hope it doesn't get a nerf in any way. But the sound is kind of annoying.
-
It’s in good place now. Extremely fun in PVE and does great damage with headshots. In pvp it feels great at mid to long range. If you can get headshots it kills in three bursts. Definitely strong in PVP but not OP. Pair it up with something close range and your set.

I got popped once by it last night in Crucible and yelled “WHAT IS THAT?” Cause I felt like it took like 80% of my health with one hit. Haven’t used it myself yet, but we shall see.
-
Edited by ShaxxCousin: 5/10/2018 10:18:42 PMIt is definitely not overpowered. Exotics should be like this. They were all underpowered before. It still doesn't kill faster than Vigilance Wing in PvP..
-
I didn’t like it much in PVE when I used it maybe I’m not using it correctly, but it killed me more than a few times in PVP quick.
-
It’s pretty awesome. Recoil manageable and the shorter magazine size is alright. I love the new exploding effects that it has. Really good fine tune.
-
It's great for small fry in pve, really mows them down. It isn't as effective on higher class enemies or majors/ultras so I think it balances out a bit. Haven't tried it in pvp.
-
Edited by Peloquinsoul: 5/10/2018 11:26:53 AMWorks great. Destroys trash mobs but isn't ideal for something with a bigger health pool. This should be the basis for all exotic tuning going forward.

Edited by xPLASMAx21: 5/10/2018 12:20:01 PMIt’s amazing in PvE - a truly exotic Exotic. PvP-wise, it feels like a really good Scout Rifle. Longer range and easier to use than the Vigilance Wing, being a bit better for peek shooting too. Exotic Autos and Scouts are going to need a buff soon just to compete with all the awesome Pulse Rifles - not to mention Handcannons.
-
Love it. It's a great example of the right amount of exotic tuning.
-
It’s not better than Darkest Before, Time Worn Spire, Vigilance Wing, and definitely Redrix Claymore
-
The new suros is by far better and melts in PvP. Can out do the Vigilance. By far my new META
-
Put away the colony and have been bouncing back and forth between the g-lance and the cabal exotic scout rifle. They wreck in pve! I don't think they will be in PvP, but we'll see.
-
Graviton lance is great in pve. I haven’t tried it in pvp yet. But pve is a beast
-
It was my first exotic weapon in D2, so I took it into Warmind and haven't touched anything else. Bungie freakin nailed it on this one!👌
