Let's get one thing straight that I feel needs to be stressed...
Destiny 1 was being criticizes because it was too much of a grind...
Bungie changed that in D2, and we complain it was too easy...
Bungie was listening, but they weren't seeing it till now and I think it was a learning experience.
Hardcore players are still playing till this day.
The CoO Grind was shorter than expected, but it had something to chance with it. They added a grind and they delivered.
With Warmind, they are doubling down on that idea 10 Fold with new things to chance in the game and old ones coming back for owned of DLC.
Bungie basically purged the casuals and want the fans to be happy, but remember what Deej said
"Careful what you wish for..."
If you don't buy the DLC and feel like you should still get the content that comes with it, even if they are old ones, then I don't feel like you deserve to have it.
I bought this game so I could have a grind, and I didn't get it until CoO. With Warmind, I'll be grinding even more for sure.
I might not get that Pulse Rifle, and I don't care because it's not something I'm interested in getting, due to me being a PvE player. And that's okay. Just because I bought something, doesn't mean I expect to get everything within a week or two.
That was the problem with D2 launch. You could get everything. ANYONE could get everything easily which made somethings not special at all.
Many praised it for how you are being rewarded. And I bit Luke Smith is gonna comeback and say...
"So, due to my experience in trying to make this game as accessible and casual as possible, I'm here to say one this... In this next Fall Expansion, you're gonna be grinding so much, you're gonna suffer as you're progressing to the End-Game"
Grinding, Suffering, Progression, End-Game
I want Fall to be Easy Mode Off and that critics will give it bad reviews at how the End-Game is not going to be approable to new comers. Which is going to make this game great again. You want to be better? You better be ready to suffer for it... Because only through suffering will you truly move forward.

I thought games were supposed to be fun... Artificial grinds for the sake of grinding and then trying to pass on the idea of grinding as new and interesting content is anything but. Suffering? Who uses this terminology when discussing gaming? I don't play games to suffer mindlessly in programmed loot loops. And I don't think most other gamer's do either. Yes being challenged is important. But a game should always be fun to play, first and foremost. The loot or grind should always be secondary, it should be the afterthought, not the primary focus. Just my opinion. But I don't think people trying to turn this thing into a lifetime MMO is the answer to making this title better. Innovation and risks will make this game better. More interesting narratives, different encounters, new enemy types, more of the player power fantasy. We have tried the chase in Destiny already and it just doesn't work. The max light level means nothing, the end game means nothing. And it can only mean something if there is a payoff. With this mentality there is no pay off, just an endless hamster wheel.
