(For the reference, I'm a Hunter main who plays Warlock as a hobby.)
Here's a comparison of some of the Warlock abilities between D1 and D2.
So, in D1, Voidwalker specifically, you had Energy Drain and Life Steal/Surge to quickly recover and get back in the action with grenades. And getting grenade kills would, in return, give you Energy Drain again (given that you Embraced the Void). Now, Voidwalkers with the Attunement of Chaos get a worse version of Energy Drain (with the melee), and get few, but damaging grenades. I believe this should be reworked to where instead of draining your super to overcharge your grenade, you should be able to drain your super to "recharge" your grenade. Giving back the synergy that Voidwalker was known for.
Now moving on to the solar subclasses. In D1, the most well-known and mostly perceived to be the main melee ability for Sunsinger was Flame Shield. (This granted an overshield after meleeing an enemy.) But when we transferred to D2, we got Dawnblade, and the melee ability for the Attunement of Flame was a rework of Brimstone... (and the melee ability for Attunement of Sky was a rework of Voidwalker's Surge, but I'm gonna focus on Brimstone here cause Surge is better than Brimstone.) So, brimstone... the least popular Sunsinger melee ability in D1, even though it had a reduced cooldown opposed to the base 60 seconds, now has a 60-second cooldown, only so that you can cause a Firefly/Dragonfly-like perk IF you get a kill. Plus you can't even generate orbs anymore on kills, so... RIP. So, just, take it that I want to see Flame Shield back.
I know I left out Stormcaller, but that's just because I have little experience with the subject.
Now, here's just an idea, don't judge the rest of my post according to this:
If Titans have Ward of Dawn, let the Attunement of Sky on Dawnblade bring back self-res, and make it so that when you activate your super from beyond the grave, you would be in Radiance instead of Daybreak. That way there is a reason to activate it while you're alive, instead of always waiting until you're dead to activate it. ("It" being the super.)
Edit: Changed title, it was misleading, and also restructured my thoughts within this post.

I'm a warlock main class since D1, year 1. I have never been completely happy with warlock because i was under the impression it was a real mage ( SPACE MAGIC ! ) when the game was first being advertised. Anyway, i feel that the warlock has been nerfed and over simplified in its redesign. Lets look. BLINK: *Looks cool but does nothing in PvE. Is it meant for PvP use? As a dodge? See below. *Has a tail on it now that lets you visually track me (an old nerf) but now i loose my own radar when i do it. *Never been spamable (rightly so) But, can i double/triple jump with no cooldown as long as my hunter's feet touch the ground in between activation? Is the Titan skate/shoulder charge and double/triple jump functional in PvP and PvE? The Go fast update (which i love) fixed the slow gliding skeet shot that i used to be in the crucible but does not increase the movement speed of my warlock (or any guardian) which allows for an advanced "sprint/warp-slide/warp" play style that only a warlock can finish. (everyone can sprint and slide) *No I-Frames (debatable. The skill, although not spamable, can still be used again after a few seconds) GRENADES: I feel like all of the voidwalker's base grenades are trash. Nothing new for Destiny 2. They need to be devoured or enhanced with the super meter to be useful. (Very good addition to the class) *Vortex grenade should last a bit longer and have a subtle 'gravity well' effect that only effects you if you are already in the vortex. (actually got hit with the grenade) *Scatter grenades area of effect should be wider and the explosions more violent. Its looking like scattered pixie dust with a mild skin irritant right now. grenade is the key word. Whether it should track you too is debatable. *Axion bolt's initial explosion does not do damage at all when you actually hit someone with the grenade. And, anyone can trot away from that slow, weak and short lived seeker that spawns from that non-damaging explosion. I've never seen more than one seeker follow a guardian even when he was the sole person in the Area of Effect. more to come. will edit later
