Malfunctioning and Stunted Semi-Auto Rates of Fire
Several of these weapons can fire fast, but only if the trigger is held.
Tapping the trigger in rapid succession confuses the weapon itself
and it seems like a strange glitch within its operating hardware.
The "Tap the Trigger" perk is great and all, but it doesn't affect the rate of fire; it just simulates trigger control.
If I hold down the trigger for some of these sub-machine guns and auto-rifles, I see a blurst of glory. It's awesome but harder to handle than attempting to fire that fast manually. It won't fire any faster in the end but the trigger control is key here when trying to poke holes in distant aware enemies and danger close targets under pressure. The fractions of time lost in-between shots make a huge difference when there are swarms of enemies who regain health and shields that aren't very forgiving.
