Majority of the community would like to see random rolls return. I’ve posted this recently and now I’m making it visible to the managers. This system is sure to work.
Random rolls were one of the key reasons why the game was successful. Although it gave us a grind, only a certain roll or two were desired based on the effectiveness of perks alone. Stuff like LitC, outlaw, counterbalance, rangefinder, shot package, and firefly were some of the most popular perks to have, rather you were playing PvP or PvE. The main issue wasn’t that people couldn’t get the “god roll”, it’s that the perks they were getting were underwhelming. It’s not too late to fix that! Random Rolls will beneficial for the game and bring back most of the population . However, every perk in the game needs to be on par with each other. There shouldn’t only be a small set of perks that are good. Buff every underrated perk.
Then, to keep the grind going, we can keep the static rolls, BUT have a reforge system, that’ll allow you to change the current roll.
To reforge a weapon, you must meet the following requirements:
You must be at least lvl 20 and 305 power level
The weapon being reforged must be a Masterworks weapon
The cost for each time you reroll the perks will be 5 masterwork cores, 50 legendary shards, and 5000 Glimmer.
Player feedback welcome. *Waiting for CM*. This is as humble as I can be with you guys right now with the state of the game.

Edited by tre11style: 4/6/2018 9:42:26 AMWhat you’ve done here, is tell Bungie to do what the Divisionn has perfected in its game. I’ve said this since D1. Straight RNG without a single chance to manipulate it is Overly frustrating for those that want to stay competitive, but don’t have the same time as the “lifers”. With No ability to change random rolls, the frustration lies in “no light at the end of the tunnel”. In other words, I could play Destiny for 50 hours and maybe never get the roll I want. But with a recalibration ability I still have to grind, but I know there is an end to the madness sooner rather than later. Going to static rolls was too far to one side of the spectrum in a Loot game. It was stupid. Bungie has to go back to random rolls, but bring a monitory cost to allowing the user to re-roll (or what the Division calls “recalibrate”) a talent... or “perk” on the weapon. What the Division does is allow one talent to be rolled and once it is done it locks the other talents out so they can’t be changed. The only talent that can be rerolled is that same slot again... and each time you do roll it, it costs more materials. It’s the perfect system honestly for both grinding and eventually getting what you want. This adds the grind that so many want back in the game, but it also takes out the frustration of never getting that god roll because a perk or two is off. In the Division there is a small grind for guns and armor, but a bigger grind for materials so you can recalibrate said items. It’s the perfect middle ground and Bungie needs to wake up and get their heads outta their butts and implement it. And again, I’ve said this since D1. Even before the division. But Bungie didn’t listen, hopefully they listen now
