Since the most recent update I feel like the hunter is a little lack luster. And it kinda upsets me. Since D1 Hunters have always been shafted when it came to useful exotics and in D2 Hunters are outclassed in basically every aspect.
Compared to titans and warlocks, hunters (also considering exotics) lack supportive and offensive and regenerative abilities. So I want to suggest a couple of mechanics into the game that will make it interesting to play as a hunter.
1. Strafe wall jumping. Giving Hunters the ability to easily juke other classes by utilizing their agility should be a thing. I need to be able to maneuver around the map quickly and strike fear into my enemies. Considering you call me the Hunter, I'd like to feel like one. A FAST push off the wall into the opposite direction should break the enemies auto aim and force them to re-engage. I believe this is a balanced mechanic because of a few reasons. It's situational. You need a wall to jump off of. It can be anticipated.
After the strafe wall jump is activated Hunters should have a short 2 second boost to handling, stability and accuracy to allow for Hunters to acquire a target and effectively fire while in air. When touching down Hunters should gain a short speed boost of about 2.5 seconds.
2. A slight defense buff (while in air) or an increase in speed on activation of the double and triple jump to compensate for the lack of speed hunters have compared to the titan and warlock.

What? We have the best exotics in D2. Orpheus Rigs regenerate our abilities, super included. Raise Flux lets us destroy bosses for days or wipe adds even longer. Nighthawk deals major damage and can drop majors in a shot. And our dodge naturally regenerates over twice as fast as the barricade or rift. We can use that dodge to get our melee back from a decent range. Our only downside is slow grenade regeneration, and that's the same unless you're a warlock
