It's an odd question that I'm probably going to have a lot of 'no's to, but can Ghosts alter Guardian's physic?
Like say, you're rezzed without an arm, can Ghost give you your arm back or is it gone forever? What if you lost it while you're a guardian already, can Ghost give it back then?
This could also have other uses, like say, gender change and the like, but I'd honestly like to know how much Ghost is capable of doing to us. How much can Ghost delve into our DNA? Can we suicide and come back with that new hair color we wanted to try out or what? What are the limits?
What ideas do you have about this?

I don't have an answer to this, but the idea of committing suicide to change hair color is honestly the funniest thing I've ever heard.

E=mc^2 This famous equation from Albert Einstein's Theory of General Relativity basically says that Matter and Energy are basically different forms of the same phenomenon. That means you can transform matter into a predictable amount of energy....and transform energy into a predictable amount of matter. That's essentially what our Ghosts do when they resurrect us after a death...and what the "transporter" from Star Treck and the "trans-mat" from Destiny does when our sparrow instantly manifests from orbit or we instantly dematerialize to our jumpship. What probably happens is that our Ghost draws upon the Traveller's Light as an energy source, and then uses that energy to replicate a duplicate of us....right down the sub-atomic level. Which is why we come back with our memories intact. Why we have no memory of our lives before our initial resurrection (we were dead, and Ghosts have no way of knowing what our sub-atomic (quantum) state was prior to our deaths...... ... why we cannot be rezzed without our Ghosts. ..and why, when we were cut off from the Traveller, our Ghosts could only heal us, rather than resurrect us (not enough energy). TLDR: Our Ghosts probably retain a molecular "blueprint" of our bodies, and then reconstruct us from that pattern when we're killed. So as long as our Ghosts are intact...and have access to enough Light...they can simply rebuild us. Like the Trans-mat does.

I hope it can give me giant muscles and ultra superpowers like Spider-Man

Why do you want to know if a ghost can do a gender re-assingment? That's not just the stuff of science fiction, the Mayo Clinic can do it if you pass the psych evaluation and have enough cash. That is a weirdly specific and inane thing to be asking.
-
Why has Ashir Mir still lost his arm then? Wouldn't his ghost replace it?
-
Cayde lost his arm fighting the canal, and he got it back
-
I hope so - then I could get that stupid facial tattoo removed from when I was drunk...

Edited by NobodyJustBrad: 3/26/2018 12:01:05 PMIt's generally theorized that the Ghost can restore you to your last physical form when you died, but not alter that. So he revives you like that, and from then on, that's the form you are revived into each time. Like a System Restore on a PC.

Edited by Karmicburden: 3/26/2018 3:38:08 PMYes they can restore your body if any injuries Like caydes ghost did to him after the attack on the city when he said he only had one arm But back at the tower he had 2 arms again

I want to be a Fallen... wanted that since I saw them before d1 was out.

I’d imagine yes, but there’d be no reason too. If a ghost can resurrect you and give you all your limbs or whatever else, I don’t see why they couldn’t do this. The only evidence I can see conflicting with this is the issue of age. Guardians like Saladin and Osiris obviously look aged, which we understand to mean declining in our society but as guardians is that just an appearance? Or are they as virile as any other guardian?

(2/3 (x^2+4)^(1/2) (x^2-9)^((-2)/3)-x(x^2-9)^(1/3) (x^2+4)^((-1)/2))/(x^2+4) (2/3 (x^2+4)^(1/2) (x^2-9)^((-2)/3)-x(x^2-9)^(1/3) (x^2+4)^((-1)/2))/(x^2+4) (2/3 (x^2+4)^(1/2) (x^2-9)^((-2)/3)-x(x^2-9)^(1/3) (x^2+4)^((-1)/2))/(x^2+4) (2/3 (x^2+4)^(1/2) (x^2-9)^((-2)/3)-x(x^2-9)^(1/3) (x^2+4)^((-1)/2))/(x^2+4) No

Dead for centuries....resurrected by a floating robot...I'd say Yes, they can biomanipulate.
-
Well when you get shot, assuming the bullet goes completely through, it tears off pieces of you and ghost can regenerate that so I don’t see why not

<I mean, unless you're being converted by the Vex.>

Well yes just think are gaurdians was just pile of bones in old Russia before
