Strange Paladins protest ends in removal of Pay to Win mechanics.

Paladins, the free to play alternative to Overwatch, was bit by the Pay to Win bug when it replaced its Skin-onomy with a card upgrade system not unlike the system seen in Star Wars Battle front 2. The update removed access to player loadouts and the cards that they could acquire easily via in game currency and replaced it with randomized uogradeable loot box cards that left your abilities up to RNG. In response to this the Paladins community flooded r/Paladins with the worst fanart ever seen and called for the removal of Cards Unbound, the pay to win system. As a free to play game that survives off of only community engagement the Developer Hi-Rez Studios removed cards unbound and returned the game to its Skin-onomy roots. And you can even purchase sprays of some of the worst fanarts so you can spray them on walls in game for the low price of 25 gold, or one game of play. They also compensated players for the cards they earned before and during the cards unbound update where I was rewarded 663,000 gold. Good on you Hi-Rez, I'll come play the game again now.
