Overhaul Faction Rallies - They Suck - My Plan to Fix them

Here's my version of the faction rallies event: Instead of 3 armor sets for each faction there is one armor set between the 3. The winner of the event will see all of it's factions members gifted with said armor set for whichever of their guardian who earned the most points for their faction (this way you don't have to design 3 armor sets for each faction - only one for each class). This game sorely lacks bragging rights... What better place to encourage that than something that is based on rivalries? The tower will feature a scoreboard which will tell you how the factions are doing, which should encourage players of the losing factions to step up their game. Two crucible modes that are pay to enter. Cost is 500 glimmer per game. Winning a game will see your glimmer transferred to your faction, furthering their progress to glory. Losing will see your glimmer refunded (maybe). Crucible mode called Faction Wars: 3v3v3 (1 team for each faction) Crucible mode called Faction March: 6v6 (faction vs faction - when you queue you're put on a team with players from only your faction and the opposing team is one of the other factions) The winning faction of each match will see it's participants granted with tokens while the other team receives glimmer and a blue. Sure it'll suck for the losing team and people will complain but it will encourage people to want to win! To actually care about something! Lost Sectors and Adventures have their own scoring and are another way for players to support their faction. Players can donate materials to their faction to support them and further their chances of winning. (I can totally see players watching the scoreboard in the tower and donating materials to push it past the other factions score etc) If none of this is possible in the current Destiny engine then I have to ask... Why even bother making the game like this in the first place? Opinions on the current faction rallies: Faction rallies are shockingly bland. You have three rivaling factions in your game and you're doing nothing with them except 'go to lost sector, kill the stuff, grab the stuff, support faction, win gun/shader/ornament'. I feel no attachment to these factions. I feel no sense of progression or usefulness towards my faction. It feels painted on, fake and stupidly weak. I'm no game designer... But I look at this event and think "How?".... "How can you miss these opportunities?" .... and you know what? I think the state of faction rallies speaks numbers for the state and design philosophy behind the entire D2 experience.
