- This has been spinning around in my head recently. Just felt like posting it. I feel like I should say that nobody should get salty about this post. Just a thought. Peace.

As an atheist, I can firmly say "no." While religion has led to conflict on many occasions, it's also important to note that humans will find conflict no matter what. With that said, the core beliefs of many religions revolve around the idea of acting in the name of the greater good. Most people only [i]pretend[/i] to do this, unwilling to do anything that takes effort, but it has certainly created some individuals that contributed to society in a significant way. Like, say, Pope Francis. While I may not subscribe to the belief in a higher power, I can't deny the positive effect that a religious ideology can have on induviduals in a society. And it's not my place to claim that they should stop believing in something just because I disagree with it.
