Why are there scanables and voice lines mentioning my "fake" D1 achievements, including a cute little cinematic when I first played the game?
I don't hear my parents telling me about how great a brain surgeon I am, and about All my money and the sweet cars I can buy. That's cus is FOKELORE!
Bungie has somehow managed to create a giant plothole in there half assed story. I guess that's what happens when you hire a failed comic book writer. Same reason my company doesn't hire drug addicts who can't keep a job.
Still waiting to see a post complaining about "to much story"

D1 isn’t folklore, and it isn’t retconned. You people are reading way too deep into this.

Edited by MC 077 Lasombra: 3/12/2018 5:42:24 AMHate to point this out but the grimoire was called folklore, not the events of D1. So right there you need to relax and think. If you used your brain you’d know why. Some parts of the lore and history are being finally changed, this has been going on since before D1 even came out. Did you know that? Look it up. They can’t say specifically what is being changed because, shocker, it’d be a massive spoiler. So some of the grimoire is folklore because that’s the literally in game reason for explaining the changes. They did a poor job of explaining that because they don’t like bringing up the story editing issues they’ve had. Get a grip dude. Like your company, do some research before making a public statement that makes you look foolish.

You just took a concept and ran with it, even though it isn't correct. D1 isn't folklore and I don't know who told you that.
-
To understand what they mean by "folklore", read the D1 Grimoire. It rarely gave direct narration for things that happened, it was often "according to X" or "there are rumours floating round about Y"
-
Or you know that big ass hole they took the time to put into Saturn's ring seen from Titan. With a tiny spec in the center of it.
-
Fokelore made me laugh.
-
It was just a clever way of them saying they'll change whatever they want to tell the story they want to tell. And it was about the grimoire and lore, not about the campaign or story in the game. That being said, I'm not a big fan of trying to cover for glaring inconsistencies. If it's tiny stupid things, then fine. But if they start making enormous errors that actually create inconsistencies or plot holes, then that's when they'll have made the choice to fxck up tne last great thing people love about the game.

Destiny 1s lore is ORAL HISTORY. Which means some of it is accurate. Some of it isn't. Just like oral history in the real world.

Edited by JojoJohnnyOST: 3/13/2018 10:56:56 AMThis post is folklore
na na na boo boo

stick your head in doo doo
Folklore is another word for lore
-
D1 is not folklore, the amount of people who say this on the forums just proves people don’t actually read things, they merely overreact
-
Folklore still mean lore
-
You are folklore
-
ahahahaha
-
At this point, I consider the comics non-canon trash and Destiny 2's story as worthless. The writers for D2 are awful.
-
So they can say d2 is folklore when making d3

There's also the fact that she was specifically talking about grimoire, not the events that took place in D1.

Everyone misinterpreted the -blam!- out of that. Literally just means most grimoire cards have always been folklore because they are written from the perspective of people long ago or very speculative. You know Pujari's shit about the ghost that seems like a dream sequence yeah folklore. Ya know the stories about Saint 14 bashing the kells skull with his own? Well that might have happened but who is telling the story? It's not written from Saint 14s perspective so who wrote it? A nearby soldier? Why wasn't that solider helping were they wounded? We don't know all of these things 100 percent and therefore it's folklore. It's like when you retell stories of any historical figure. Some of it can be noted with evidence but most of it is just stories passed down. Like the grimoire.

Edited by Magebanker: 3/12/2018 5:16:39 PM(original) Lead Writer went bye-bye. That's why.
-
Edited by A Blues fan: 3/12/2018 5:05:04 PMNo one said D1 was folklore. Someone said the Grimoire cards were folklore but that was all. D1 is considered canon.
-
It’s all just a Vex Simulation. Be sure to take the red pill
-
Do they hire people who can spell 'folk' at your place then? Best hope not or you're up for the chop!
-
The idiot writer had to come out and open their mouth, and now they're one of the people responsible for D2's failure. If you cut away away all of the grimoire from D1 or just Destiny, in general, you have a very bland and boring universe.
-
Are you sure your company doesn't hire drug addicts? 🤔
-
Bungie is so bad lolol

Christine Thompson = destroyer of lore.
