Bungie is the best.
- The Reskins are awesome.
- The new Strangers Quest and Lore was amazing.
- Crucible is so much fun, I enjoy playing Trials and PvP with the other 8 Million plus players every weekend on a P2P system that doesn't allow others to actively cheat or have to worry about getting kicked offline. Dedicated servers would've been a dumb idea anyways and a waste of money.
- Emblems are a fantastic way to bring back the minuscule playerbase that has left.
- Cayde-6 was right. There's so much loot...
- Luke Smith is a pioneer in the gaming industry. Without his insight and vision Destiny wouldn't be where it is today.
- Resetting 16 months before the Sept launch for D2 was a brilliant idea. Whoever came up with that idea needs a promotion...
- The Eververse wasn't the problem, the community is.
- Simplifying our loadouts and subclasses added almost too many options for customization.
- Speaking of customization the new and improved character creation D2 implemented was out of this world.
- I'm glad we can't pick strikes or the game modes we want to play.
- Nobody wanted custom/private games. Removing that option was brilliant.
- Nobody played SRL, thank you for not wasting the time and resources on it anymore.
Thank You Bungie! For making every single one of us feel as if we became legend in D2.
Now please make a prequel titled 'Call of Destiny' and have it set as mashup between CoD and Destiny... Activision would probably go for it.

Don't forget the story. There is TOO MUCH STORY! They warned us that there was a lot of it, and I didn't believe them. I CAN'T EVEN TAKE IT ALL IN! It's like sensory overload!

These things would make the game 10 times better. The nightfall system from D1. Remove the prestige bullshit. It didn't need to exist in the first place. Ability cooldowns need to be reduced to D1 settings. Less space magic isn't fun. The Vortex Nova Bomb needs a bigger blast radius. The Slova Bomb is buggy, and sometimes doesn't even kill enemies. The 'shoot' button during Stormcaller is buggy and non responsive sometimes. The same goes for the 'square' (PS4) button when trying to pick up an arc charge, revive, etc. If I'm holding the button down already, it should work. I shouldn't have to press it again. Bring back the primary/special/heavy loadout. The new one sucks. Our characters are slow, weak, and the hunter and warlock jumps are terrible. Bring back machine guns. Int/Dis/Str. Mobilty/Armor/Recovery adjustments should be put back in the skill trees like D1. Make tracking available on ALL launchers. Give them bigger magazines. Bounties. Stop designing your strikes in a way that lets lazy players just run past everything. Make shaders infinite use, and add a shader kiosk. Let us use our sparrow on Mercury. Tone down the teleport ability of Minotaurs and Captains. If their shield is down, they shouldn't be able to teleport, like in D1. Add Death From Above(Striker) and Combustion(Golden Gun) to the skill trees. Make the Sunsinger super an option in the Dawnblade skill tree. Random rolls and better perks on weapons. Add some more legendary VoC/Cryptic Dragon design scout rifles. Buff Firefly/Dragonfly. Each season should add new weapons like D1. Not just re-skins. Make exotics worth using. Get rid of stupid perks like "reloads your sidearm." That's not exotic. ex. The Sunbreaker gauntlets should grant an extra grenade like they did in D1. Hire writers that actually use the grimoire lore in their stories. If 'important targets' are engaged in combat with a player, they should not disappear. Buff snipers in PvE. They can't even one-shot a shielded red bar enemy. Factions should be available all the time. Get rid of the pointless faction rally. Give Ikora a unique/better loot pool. Make her meditations worth doing. If we are at 334 light level, exotic engrams should decrypt at 335, not 334

I couldn't agree more. I mean you literally touched on everything that bungie has done to make Destiny 2 the great game that it is. I am still in shock and awe after all these months that bungie did such an amazing job with Destiny 2, I almost feel like this has to be a dream it is so amazing :)

Edited by TotalDramaGamer: 3/3/2018 10:39:36 PMAh, see, so this is what they mean by giving positivity. But yes, I agree, I like not being able to choose my own campaign missions, strikes, and crucible modes. As if I could be bothered with such a mundane decision! Besides, with such good storytelling, you won't even want to play the campaign again. -- Here at Bungie, we all know that a good story should only be read or viewed once. I mean, we're barely able to read a book once nowadays and we know gamers echo this sentiment. This is also why we got rid of the Grimoire entirely. Reading is bad, playing is good, and as such we've limited your reading to the barest of necessary essentials to extend play time. No unneeded information will ever cross your path again. Such as what your stats actually do, or by how much, or anything that might make the average 10 year old confused by what they're doing. However, for your convenience, due to the minuscule chance someone might actually want to play the campaign for the sake of playing it again, we decided to let your additional characters be the 'replay' enjoyment of the game. Of course, we didn't want the campaign to overtake Destiny 2 as the sole focus... so we've limited your total character pool to 3 characters to balance our game evenly. That means you can only play the whole campaign 3 times before never being able to play the whole story, in one sweep, ever again. But that's not the last of it! If you really want to replay the game again, simply delete your character, and start all over again in the slot. We had originally thought that deleting characters would require silver to initiate, however on reviewing our D1 numbers, we found that simply not enough players enjoy deleting their characters and would not be a stellar financial investment. We hope that with his unnecessary restriction we drive home the real focus of the game, public events, that will decrease in XP every time you do them so you can't get our Bright Engrams, but will still be profitable enough to make the rest of the game meaningless. We take great pride in knowing exactly what drives our players to commit to a game they love. Have fun guardians!
-
not being able to choose gamemodes is the most fun thing of all!
-
the dedicated servers would have fixed most of the lag issues though
-
The only thing they didn't get right was the ledge grab mechanic.
-
Please don't foget how two primary weapons are so much better than the D1 setup
-
I'm just so happy they finally decided to charge us to apply shaders. And make them single use. I hated having to apply them for free in Destiny one. I'm glad they saw sense after all the outcry.
-
Simple- the game is not fun. Guardians are watered down, weapons are static, customization is a little better, end game is nonexistent, masterworks should not be needed except that they neutered the guardians, subclasses are simple enough for a second grader, gameplay options compared to D1 don't exist, etc... I was hoping they could fix most of this, but emblems apparently are our answer. Bungie has screwed the player base over so many times (yes, D1, I'm looking at you too), it is a wonder any players still play. Their arrogance since D1 has ultimately been their downfall. The community plays the game, but the developers wanted the game their way instead. They made their bed, now they have to lie in it.

Edited by SwankyButters: 3/6/2018 4:59:27 AMEven now, as boring as it is and it is really boring, the potential is STILL there. It's been there from the beginning. Joseph Staten was the one who was making the game for the right reason. All he promised and was talking about in the beginning, still isn't in the game and I don't think it was his fault. He wanted it to be great and they wanted it to be more profitable. Destiny is missing what all great creative endeavors need. Great writing, great ideas, great surprises, etc. Honestly, tell me you wouldn't spend more time in the tower if they had a shooting range where you can test weapons and compete with other players? Tell me you wouldn't love to find a hidden.... Whatever, it wouldn't matter. A portal opens out of no where and takes you somewhere cool where you learn something new about the world or about yourself and starts a REAL quest, not just for a trinket but for something amazing. What if you have to find another player who had something you need to find it? You get the point bungie? You've built a game with no surprises. Shame cause it's right there for the taking, right there to be thrown in the game. You just have to have the will to do it and make the game worth playing.

U forgot another thing it was wrong to add a story

Nailed it👍

This was funny

Does your 3 of Coins work now?

Be careful. Bungie might not see the "Kidding" tag. They might take this as positive feedback. Excellent post. All of those things made Destiny 2 what it is today (the worst sequel in the history of electronic media, with the possible exception of The Last Jedi). Note to those of you that liked either of the worst sequels in the history of electronic media. Just because you liked it doesn't mean it's good. Some people like Pistachio Ice Cream, but it's considered the worst flavor by almost every poll available. TLJ and Destiny 2 are truly bad, but some people will like these amazingly bad things anyway. It happens. I get it. But just know that every available poll says TLJ and Destiny 2 are very, very bad sequels.

Thats hilarious sooo true what's really funny they dont realize making destiny 3 will be worst selling game in history then activision will turn their backs and do yet another call of duty at least you know what your buying.

heck yeah dude! I LOVE D2. Best game ever am I right? I love the option to not choose my own game mode and getting paired up with a 4 stack! It's The most fun thing ever! Did i mention all the exotics? Man all of them are wonderful and unique and totally isn't worthless. HAHAHA! I also love how every boss encounters in D2 is unique and different and requires you to really use your mind and think about you surrounding. This game is just so amazing i love it, i love it so much i spend all my money in Eververse, which it totally deserves. No changes needed, it's a good game. no. it's a amazing game! (this is sarcastic comment for all you people who can't understand)

wait a minute. are you being silly?

Wow. Even positive posts get moved to feedback...Bungie doesnt want ANY opinion...
-
Fully agreed. This is a phenomenal game and the good will Bungie has earned with their growing community is something to be commended. I also really love how they’ve removed randomized rolls with unique and powerful perks, for a more streamlined, mundane system. Truly makes getting your fifteenth better devils feel great.

Gold comment, upvoted.

i agree with a lot of that.
ha!
Yeah, this game sucks the wind out of every other games’ sails. If I were the developer of Warframe or upcoming Anthem I’d be worried.
