Destiny 2 raid completion rate is currently lower than the original Destiny. Bungie's efforts to bring more players together is not working and with the steady drop in players, I don't see this trend reversing. Can Bungie now admit they were wrong about raid matchmaking? Or is the raid destined to be a niche activity?

Kinda hard to keep doing raids when your whole clan quits. Never had that problem in d1.

lol @ VoG/CE numbers. KF - 9.2% WoTH - 5.2% #ouch

I've been saying this for years but get shit on everytime I bring it up. Optional matchmaking is needed for this game. Bungie's arrogant position on this needs to change. Those that don't want to participate can chose not to. I've heard the arguments against it saying it would double the amount of bitching and moaning on here and other sites. Maybe, but there's plenty of that now so who gives a crap. EVERY game mode should have optional matchmaking if for no other reason to at least allow players to TRY each of the modes. Get into the 21st century Bungie, your game is dying.....or maybe its already dead.

Dont need raid matchmaking. I play it every weekend with no issues

Your first sentence contradicts your title.

Its not that the raids are bad either. Leviathan is short on bosses, but its fun, and calus is a damn good fight, especially on prestige with the added teleport mechanic. Argos is super fun too, probably a top 3 boss fight out of the entire franchise. But after doing them a few times theres really no point doing them ever again, as theres no stand out weapons to earn. Theres legit nothing in there better than nameless midnight, uriels gift etc.

no its just the raid rewards aren't that good theres no fate bringer no awsome heavy ammo peice's of armour like vog and to boot the raid and a half we have are kinda boring you dont feel the sweat like old raids like killing atheon while being blind from gates
Can Bungie now admit they were wrong about raid matchmaking?
Absolutely not. Bungie doesn't admit being wrong. Working as intended.

Your title and body are completely different.

Raids should not have matchmaking, in game lfg, sure, MM no. they are too complex to just be matched with total randoms who, do not have a good mic or do not speak same language or want to act like a tool blasting music or being yelled at that it is dinner time. They need to accept that only xx% will do the raid and leave it as an elite activity

Dont need raid matchmaking. Join a clan

Man I completed vog 60+ times... I did this crap raid 3 times and haven’t bothered with the newer raid lair... d2 pve is crap.
