So fyi, this is just an idea, so don't get your hopes up or down when you read this.
So in destiny, every guardian (with some exceptions) is so sure that the Traveller is good, calling the cosmic magic it gives us "light" and saying it "sacrificed" itself to "save us" from the cosmic witchcraft black magic pyramids called the "darkness". And with it's final breath gave us ghosts to find the guardians, blah blah blah....
You guys know the story.
About the darkness being "another subclass" theory... well what if the darkness involves guardians of its own forged in "darkness" with its very own versions of void, arc, and solar subclasses (I know this isn't the first time this has been said).
Well I say if it does, then a cool thing to add into the game is the CHOICE to be FORGED in LIGHT or DARKNESS! And that choice impacts the campaign, places you can go, how you play other people, and yadda yadda yadda...
You guys get the point.
May be a stretch, and probably is. But still it'd be cool though.
For instance, PvE could be PVE AND PVP. Say you've gone exploring during patrol and stuff, then BAM you get a notification that a DARK GUARDIAN has entered you're area also exploring and doin stuff. Well, you can't just leave him/her alone and he/she can't leave you alone cuz you know, the eternal battle between light and dark and what not. So you gotta go fight them. Now, I've realized this may get boring after a while and people may start complaining so that PvPvE may not be a good idea. But whatever.
I think this idea of choices impacting the dynamic of the game would be cool!
Oh, and this other thing that'd be cool... none consumable shaders! 4 customizable emote slots! That stuff is definitely cool too.

Sounds like Star Wars (light vs dark side). The dark side gaurdians on patrols sound like Hunters in the Division.

They have created the perfect chance to make a “Dark Guardian” a thing. Just gotta wait and see if it happens.

This definitely sounds like a cool idea. Sort of having two campaigns, one for each side. Not too fond of the PvPvE idea though. I get that it totally makes sense. But I've played a game (Elder Scrolls Online) where a certain part was PvPvE and nothing annoyed me more than only wanting to do missions, and then getting killed by other players during that mission, requiring me to walk the entire distance again. This could go as far as player groups camping certain choke points or bosses, only to kill players of the "enemy" Faction. If that would happen, I would wish for an option where we can be protected from that. Maybe something similar to the Passive Mode option in GTA Online. When you activate it, you cannot be hurt by other players, and you cannot hurt them. Also a cooldown on that ability to avoid abuse by switching it on and off whenever needed. And a question that just popped into my head... If Guardians are "forged in Darkness", would they have access to the Resurrection ability that "Light Guardians" have?

you know whats funny about this ??? bungie will read your suggestion and come out with "ok we hear you and we nerffed the fusion riffle"
-
Its a cool idea but in a socially oriented game, i dont see it working, for example how would raids work, am i gonna help my mortal enemy destroy the traveller, or is my mortal enemy enemy going to tag along while we kill oryxs third cousin
-
Great idea, but not sure how well the PVP thing would work....

Reminds me of Dark Souls invasions. Just minding my own damn business...when out of nowhere......I get fµcking impaled through the chest by a giant fckingarrow. Fun times....especially when you invaded others and successfully killed the Host.

That would be kind of cool... maybe Destiny 3 can be like LA Noir but with gaurdians instead!? Where there will be a dialogue wheel with the three options of Light, Dark, and Darker!!! Perhaps with the ability to romance one of the three vanguards in a hetero, homo, and/or exo relationship? That would be cool.

Cool idea and a good idea. BUT! We can’t even get a solid campaign and end game with what we have now...there is no way Bungie would do this because “content is too hard”.
