It seems that over a plethora of other issues, I overlooked one that is most crucial, especially to me. Destiny didn't always have Infusion right, but when it came down to it, by the end of the original game it was perfection. You could take an item that was a higher power but a less-than-preferred choice, and cram it into one of your favorites to make it better, with no prejudice against weapon/item types.
If it shared the same slot in your Inventory menu, it would work as Infusion fodder.
By making it so that players have to mix-and-match items based on their exact weapon type, you've thrown a wrench into a perfect system. If you're wondering why players think rewards are shit, look no further. Because even when we get a power item upgrade, it's still borderline useless based on this little detail.
This change alone has exacerbated the overall theme that rewards are utter shit.
I'm actually disappointed and rather upset more people aren't discussing this frequently, as without this change the current system is completely prone to the notorious RNG hamster wheel grind bullshit.
For the love of God or whatever you happen to give two shits about enough to care, please -blam!-ing fix this, please. If you don't this game will always have a reputation for being nothing but a dick move by Bungie's Dev team to water down the game and minimize rewards to maximize player time investments long-term.
Sad part is though, all it does is make people quit earlier than normal... Shot yourselves in the foot, you did.
If you could stop -blam!-ing with perfectly functional, working systems like Shaders and Infusion just to placate your concerns that we aren't playing enough, that would be absolutely -blam!-ing splendid.
tl;dr Stop designing this game to be more of a grind, stop convoluting working systems with your bile.
