if you find all points underneath positive and reinforcing towards a satisfying destiny leave a like and a comment down below to keep this alive and hopefully catch the dev teams eyes
we have seen a huge progress dip from where we once were in D1 in comparison to D2. ive been in this community since april of 2013 under a different alias mr.kalico, making polls and spitting my ideas in the labforums before launch. i made polls to keep swords in destiny when everyone was set on a strict scifi shooter where "swords were redundant and had no place, i drew concept art and other comissions in my inspiration and for the aspirations ive had for this game. ive had my complaints in the past and ill admit someof them were a harsh testament to certain, almost biased metas lile the raging fire that was warlocks for some players in the community or hand cannons range in comparison to other weapons. so here we are 2018 and D2 is nowhere near its predecessor.. we all know this and bungie as bungie does says theyre listening and will give us better things to come so im not gonna touch base with certain topics already considered in the devs minds but here are my suggestions as a whole. and idc what bungie says about making content, how hard it is with this software they use. some things just need to happen to help the fan base row this boat they call Destiny 2. anyway. my suggestions:
Individuality and Appearance:
*when choosing a different perk on the gun, as it does with scopes, change pieces of appearance with the gun.
small tweeks that create more individualism is always good. Suchas mag types changing when a certain perk specific to said physical attribute is chosen
(same as well with armors)
^this is especially plausable considering we dont have random rolls aside from masterworks. and now with masterworks even more possibilities for small aesthetic attatchments to fit an extra line in the fingerprint that is your guardian.
*MORE SKINS for MORE EXOTICS
for the ones that have some already and yet have
*sword shaders
*(kind of the same concept but)
More ornaments to work towards various armors. such as world faction ornaments. doing public events, patrols, lost sectors all contributing to faction specifics like we have for everything in the tower or end game content.
*special fx like chrome or flaming skull (<make them skins you can use on any armor set, such as make an ornament slot specifically for fx) making a reappearance but even more so.
make whichever power of light dance around specific armor pieces of the players choice that represent theyre favorite subclass for example? as an underdog fighter myself i love the arcstrider and would even pay money just to have tiny effects here and there for the badassery that would be lightning trying to crackle and burst from my hunters arms and helmet.
*ClanRepresentation on armor. if anything give hawthorne armor that will have your clans banner on it. every changing week cycle give them different armor models to have their clan represented on it. we all know how you love to reskin rehashed weapon and armor models so why not just try that with clan symbols. maybe even make it to where the player can choose where its placed on the armor(stretch it, align it choose what the shader dictates in the sense of color, yaddayadda)?
*Exotics specific to each faction rep. kinda like D1 but times well every major NPC in the game. not just in ships and sparrows but weapons and gear. like asher mir and Io make a taken like weapon that resembles the ghost spectres themselves.
*MORE weapon&armor models and types in general.
people arent exactly happy playing end game content just for reskins(mostly on weapons). the leviathan however i feel is an example of WHAT TO DO. you guys knew what to do in D1 granted thats a stretch of time/progress in comparison to what we have here but none the less this is a sequel.. its supposed to have a heavier weight to the variety right out the gate in comparison. not model itself from its predecessor and not learn. (i am directing this more so towards {osiris} expansions than vanilla content because we all know D1 was lackluster compared to D2)
*armor&weapons based off of enemy factions like in D1. but better. more variety. ornaments that might take from dreg to vandal to kell to capt to maybe specific major?
*bring back all emotes from D1 (those who have them from D1 recieve them in postmaster)
Power Fantasy:
*now concerning how people feel about D2 crucible im on the side that believes the weapon system is great. but on the same token i believe time to kill (for some weapon types) can be buffed a little. for which kinds im not sure exactly but i have an idea of possibly what the community wants. i have specific weapons i use and try to master and time to kill for me so 80% of the time is satisfying so im more so speaking for others as said including many youtubers we all know and love. i think damage drop off when it comes to range places a major factor in this. blatantly every gun should have its area of effectiveness. and we just dont see that. unless its a heavy scout (tone patrol for ex.) across the map against for example uriels. (in all honesty lets just be honest here we are tired of scrubby uriels gift teams. ha.) submachine guns feel right. some hand cannons could tone the range a little and pulse rifles maybe dial up with just a pinch of pepper. and faster scouts the same. except for explosive round types considering it doesnt take real aim to hit your mark. in essence just be smart and weigh out the rock paper scissors formula. there is a MUCH better meta than all of D1 combine here.
* MORE weapon types
bring machine guns back for one. exotics that can fit certain weapons of a different archtype in primary or secondary. like universal remote. but consider ammo a factor. mayne fuse some weapon types together. bring different melee types in the mix. just more variety in general; weapon models for variety in existing types and new types.
*more class abilities&concepts that grant capabilities we wouldnt have otherwise. the ability trees we have are balanced yes but lack a sense of (not power as in strength but) power in letting you feel unique from your fellow fireteam members. you have two options that can be manipulated by exotics not manipulated by its own construct and that really put a hole in the D1 fan base. in concpet you could give us mods in legendary armor (only one can be used in this type of mod throughout the whole armor build of your guardian for balance sake) and mix it up a little more.
*4th NEW subclass
yes we would all like to see the old ones make an appearance as well. but more so. a new energy type as well. the highly speculated DARK subclass could even do the trick but i feel lile it would be a bit iconoclastic so maybe a bit too cut&dry. but that is more so up to the dev team cuz right now im processing what is infront of me rather than newly concieved concepts.
*dial supers not to 11 but maybe a 7 rather than the 3 we r on right now. abilities i feel r balanced on cooldowns especially if you are the type to put mods into your armor for cooldown rates, it definitely feels fair to me but supers... maybe more than once for even the typical player (i can get mine at least 3 times on an average match.)
*everyone gets one
bring back the time when everyone got heavy ammo~
OR
experiment a little&let everyone get a certain amount of ammo designated to what power type they have, at the beginning of the match. for situational control and a better chance of a killstreak out of the gate. but once killed losing said ammo.&then the wait for ammo is initiated (then possibly leave it at one person for heavy)
SANDBOX
*now in a PvE aspect. blatantly. every door locked could potentially be a new room explored. a nee adventure. if the dev team was to just update the game with some patch¬ tell anyone they added new plsy areas to their favorite planet that would be pretty sweet yeah? such a titan. could you imsgine going to through those hive infested cooridors and finding an opening in the archology that goes under sea level and eventually coming up to a room that was once an aquatic life study full of hive and walls are nothing but a hard glass with analyzed data holograms&beyond those colorful percentages and geometric maths the shadowof thst huge sea creature slithering around as u fight this infestation. just a little mood for you but you get the picture. smd even better yet. these places could open by finding specifc items in the map. or finding interactive computer interfaces or something.
make bosses more varied in the interactive space. public events are awesome&the few majors we get are great. but we dont like the constant on the clock peeps. give us things like the taken bosses we had. something 4-6 guardians need to fight on the fly for substantial and specifc loot. this too can be activated by specific actions or items
in general you have alot of ways to edit the terrain. more expansive more dangerous and thrilling. look at it like you did the plaguelands to the cosmodrome. but instead of NEEDING story to set up the expansion of the horizon let that horizon speak for itself. and let the wonder of mystery draw in that adventurer. (free map expansion and the lack of self explanatory reason why we have this new territory)
now on the pvp side of things
more veriticality, more interactive spaces (closing doors, spinning structures, maybe interactive enviornmental hazards? Battlefield style)bigger maps {not all the time just a few}
well in all honesty forum friends and dev team thats all the brainstorming i got at this moment i shall return and edit this post when the mood strikes me so tune in at later times and tell me how you feel about these ideals and please comment ypur own opinions and discuss im the comment section
thank you,
