tl;dr;
Start a real conversation with a tone that you would come up with when you are talking to your parents. You all are customers not the creators, you have no right in demanding something after buying a product. You can bring in your opinion but please stop that toxic behaviour - no one is anonymous on the net and think of you reading your post in 5 years - would they make you proud?
Edit2: Updated the topic title and link label to point directly towards the article.
Thanks for the nice conversation.
Edit: The title and the link description are obviously written in an aggressive tone to draw attention beneath all the #hashtags - the whole point is about having a civilized conversation again. They are not meant to be offensive to anyone nor do I feel superior to you.
I linked this article last week and the replies here are just as depressing. However, it's made another handy list of stupids to mute.
-
Bungie don't deserve to be spoken to like adults, let alone spoken to as if they are our parents.
-
While people like imagination, we have to remember about real world probs man.
-
This article was written by the type of guy who will get called a dickhead on twitter, then go make a huge facebook post about why they're quitting the internet over cyber bullying.
-
Are all game Devs complete pansies? How weak does a person's sense of self worth need to be to get upset because some anonymous people posted mean things about them on the internet? I really despair for "adults" these days.
-
I am a customer and Bungle conned me into buying a shit product. I have every right to be pissed and will continue to vent that every possible way I can.

Edited by Jet Set Willy: 1/17/2018 12:43:07 AMI haven't read the 'article'. Rather, I'm simpy going to address the point you make in your post. We're customers. We've paid for a product that is less than it was supposed to be. We've had a roadmap that shows that many of the fixes for things most people would consider obvious issues are months away. We've had an admission that XP gains are too slow but nothing has been done about it, meanwhile the lost sector cheese that let us quickly collect tokens has been patched. We've been told that Eververse was never intended to be a focus when there was a job advert which pretty much stated the opposite. Instead of throwing everything they have at fixing D2 and making it the game it should have been Bungie are directing resources towards Destiny 3. I'm still going to play D2. The worlds and environments are beautiful. The audio is great. The shooter mechanics are spot on.The things that are wrong are the direction that management / leadership are taking the game and the fact that Bungie still appear to be stone deaf and oblivious to the obvious failings and how to fix them. As a starting point I would just like Bungie to start considering player engagement and reward first. To show us that they finally do respect our time. Maybe then the community will start respecting them more, and speaking to them a little nicer.

Edited by GhostTactics: 1/17/2018 1:12:56 AMLol, D2 will still be a shit game no matter what Bungie does (because they're currently an incompetent shit dev). Here have a downvote, it's free.

Edited by JJIBIIIS: 1/16/2018 9:53:32 AMI’ll put this plain and simple! Then rant some more! At some point in your life you will speak to someone like they’re beneath you because off, well, millions off different reasons due to individuality! Some people work frontline! Which means getting verbally assaulted and physically assaulted and sometimes on a daily basis! I worked as a bus driver for 25 years receiving abuse both verbal and physical from young arrogant teens to drunken louts, for 25 years! Don’t post crap about some pussy behind a desk, can’t handle the stress, get another job! I loved my job as a bus driver and no matter how many times some nob spoiled my day, there are far many nicer people that made the day enjoyable; interaction with many different faces daily meant never the same conversation twice and the usual suspects that bring you the little trinkets on holidays etc, different scenery every day; four walls! No thanks! My parting note, self moderation! Do the job you love and if it becomes tiresome for what ever reason, move on, Those guys speaking about leaving the job for the 0.1%, seriously! But I suppose if that’s the cap in their stress, so be it! Death threats, violence written before action is and will be judged by those upon high, but action, you will see as much action from a threat online as we’re getting from Bungie atm, fact! Shit happens and we can all blame it on the internet, films, video games! I’m a tosser at times, can anyone else admit behaving less than dignified at times, through anger, frustration! Bungie went backwards with their IP not forwards and the written flak is deserved and not for just a sub par AAA game, but for all the other little reasons with XP, pay walls, locked content etc the list is varied and many, that’s the real issue with not liking comments, it’s the reason behind those comment that’s uncomfortable! Soft lads “should” just not entertain the forums and get on with the job! Nothing like being punched in the face for the price off a bus ticket! but could see their point that the price off one stop was the same price as going an extra mile, but that’s business, punters are punters and at the end off the day, at least we all payed before getting on board, we just want the ride for the fare!!! Pussies these days! It’s obvious that the problems with the game are real, it’s easy to defend what’s right because the ground will not move but deception is always and always will be build upon weak foundation and the truth will always be the truth! D2 is half the game Destiny was and starting out with worse problems due to that very reason! Let them quit the job!

So the title says you have no more words for this, then you have filled this thread with more words.....

Edited by RPColten: 1/16/2018 8:32:17 AMIt also doesn't help that it has become exponentially easier for the common person to spew slurs and vitriol at developers. A person can literally reach into their pocket and immediately have an angry comment flying into a social-media feed. Really, just be polite. That's it.

Whilst it would always be desirable to communicate with as much respect as you can muster, to tell consumers to not use one of the few powers they have to affect change, is not only silly but self-detrimental. If people just remain silent, good companies don’t learn anything and bad companies continue to operate largely unscathed. Of course the greatest power we have is the money in our pocket but, after the purchase, our voice is what matters. By your logic, no-one should complain to the chef for being served a rubbish meal.

Toxic it's the -blam!-in Internet dude get off if u don't like it. Ppl are pissed rightfully so they can say what they want critism can be given in whatever manner they want and if it has truth it should be taken into consideration
-
How’s it feel up there on that High Horse?
-
Dude whatever have your little opinion, why are bungie most loyal supporters and fans like datto, triple wreck, kackis, all making YouTube videos saying all the same things ppl on these forums are, why are they walking away from the game and attempting to speak directly to bungie, these ppl are respected and have advertised and praised destiny for years. They say the game sucks and feel exploited and are walking away

Edited by ChiefDevilEggs: 1/16/2018 7:47:18 AM"You have no right in demanding something after buying a product" So after I buy a burger at a McDonald's or Burger King, and I find that there is no meat, lettuce or tomato in my burger, I therefore have no right to demand a refund, LET ALONE, voice my distaste for not getting what was promised to me?!... Nobody is talking about Bungie and Destiny in five years. Both will be dead by then. I liked the Calus raid, but the rest of the game is so shallow I deleted it from my PS4. Back to The Division and Warframe!
