There was absolutely nothing that they could have said that would have kept people like you from whining and crying. They gave a large part of what people wanted back (they tried something new, it failed, they learned a little) and people are STILL whining. This has never been about making D2 better for people like you, it’s become the new meta game to rag on Bungie and call their game garbage.

Your posts in the past made me wonder if you even liked this game or the community, but clearly, it's more important that you get satisfaction out of the death of Destiny 2 than for other people to enjoy it. I am tired of this sort of mentality going on in these (and other game) forums. The disappointed are more important than the satisfied. Angry voices matter more than supportive Start crusades, watch the forums burn, wish doom upon the game...and alienate the fans who came here to group up, scare away players, silence positive feedback and bury it under a mountain of screaming the same thing over and over. If all you're wishing for is the chance to fiddle while the game burns, then leave. You've made your stance clear. You aren't a fan. You aren't a critic. Where is Bungie replying now? They were going at it last week saying to butter our popcorn and all. Now the updates been out and its a commercial disappointment they're back to the silent treatment.

It’s not actively making the game worse, and the pr is a lot better then many previous announcements. Furthermore, many of the things we asked for were in it. So garbage? I think not. “Disappointing” and “too late” sound more reasonable to me.

You are aware that the live team is specifically set up to be reactive, correct? Chris Barrett doesn't own a DeLorean and can travel back in time at 88mph to stop Luke Smith and Jon Wisniewski from making terrible decisions. He also doesn't have the authority to pull the plug on Eververse. This is obviously a compromise he made with his bosses to keep them placated and still give back to the player base as much as the live team is allowed. The list of changes is a good start to fixing a long list of terrible problems. What they posted in the update were things that they had fixes for, be them actual or still on paper. Some of the issues are deep rooted and shy of releasing another full game won't be possible to fix.
