I've been trying to hold on to destiny as much as possible but personally I don't know if I can suffer through the lack of content lately...I'm a huge pve guy but even that is stale lately...I LOVED mayhem and probably played that more than anything else since destiny 2 has released.. but now it's gone..so just looking for some advice on games to play. I like fortnite, paragon, and trove, things like that but I was wondering if anyone knew about Warframe? Is it grindy? Which I would like and is it detailed and in depth? Someone lemme know if I should try it and or give up my hopes of destiny 2?...
Cheers

If you have lots of time and are willing to grind, yes. Even an hour a day is not enough. If you liked diablo, you’ll like it. It’s basically third person diablo that honestly, doesn’t get really good until about 100 hours in.

Had many hours in D1, picked up Warframe half way along. Warframe became my go-to game when Destiny was boring, and now it's just my go-to game anyway. It is a game where you can't expect to have everything given to you. A bunch of people here will say it's grindy and they're not wrong, but personally (now at 800 hours in) there are only a few things I had to properly dedicate my playtime to to earn. Most I could just get as I played. It's not particularly story driven, there are quests and the story in them is actually quite involved imho, but mostly time is spent working through missions on the planets, to access the next. The movement mechanics in it are quite a bit more involved than most games, and speed of movement is a learned skill- if you group up with experienced players from the start, you may find yourself being left behind As some have said, there are microtransactions, ofc there would be in a f2p. Most things, bar a few properly endgame items, can be bought for the paid currency and most things can also be traded with players (for the paid currency). Although in my opinion this doesn't make it incredibly pay to win. I haven't felt pressured to buy anything in my playtime, and the core focus of modding in the game literally means that weapons are only as good as the mods you use on them. Going and buying a new frame and a bunch of weapons straight out of the door won't help you that much. However in contrast to that, almost everything (bar about 40% of cosmetics) can be earned without paying- the Market ingame can be deceiving, but it really offers the 'blueprint' for a weapon for normal credits/coins/glimmer whatever, and then you build it from resources- or you could pay platinum (the paid currency) and just get it straight up. The game does have quite a lot of attention to detail gone into it, and in the later elements of the main story, some pretty mind-blam!- stuff if you go in blind. If it isn't the game for you, which it may well be, you won't get on with it. But if it is the sort of game for you, you'll fall in love. And as many others have said, it's f2p so what really have you got to lose If you end up playing on PC, hmu and I'll answer any more stuff you got- IGN TotallyNotAnEmu

Your choice man. I’ve played it a lot but have never really been that much of a fan systems seem a bit too complex and time consuming
-
I'd recommend trying it. It's free to play so won't cost anything if you don't like it. It's very grindy and there's a huge amount of detail to learn which can seem very overwhelming at first but is well worth the effort. You get some free platinum (the premium currency) when you start and I'd recommend spending that on additional weapon/frame slots, you'll be able to earn more through trading.

Its free! Download it. If you don’t like it, fine, no harm done.

Warframe is one of those games I'm always hearing good things about, but whenever I try to play it I lose interest very fast. It definitely has a bit of a learning curve to it. I would always end up fumbling around, jumping off cliffs, or doing stuff I don't mean to do. As for player customization, there is an absolute ton but I couldn't understand how most of it worked. It went completely over my head. So my advice for you is to try it. It's free so it's not like you're going to waste money. Just make sure to really pay attention to the tutorials or you'll be just as lost as I was.

I wouldn't really recommend it. But if it's between Warframe and Destiny, I'd pick Warframe.
-
Personally I like it very much. However, it’s not for everyone. You will read replies from both sides of the fence. No one is wrong or right in there opinions. That’s just what they are, opinions. Only you can decide if you will like it or not. I will give you this advice, the game will not hold your hand, so be prepared for some initial frustration. Just don’t quit before you get a decent understanding of the game. Give it an honest try, if you like it, you will have a game which you can sink a lot of time into. If you don’t, delete it and move on. Hope this helps.

I tried it and it wasn't really for me, but I'd recommend downloading it just see what you think. It's free so you have nothing to lose.
-
It's way too hyped. Sure it's fun for a bit, but then it just isn't. I say try it since it's free.
-
Yes if you want to constantly grind and grind and grind and not even touch the tiddy biddy surface of its content.
-
Warframe is a very rewarding game. However, it's not pick up and play friendly. You need to stick at it. I love it. I have thousands of hours invested. I suggest trying it out, it's one of the best games out there. Learn to mod frames, weapons and companions. It's the one thing that helped me. Ask me anything if you do play it. In fact, there are a few Warframe players here that have heaps of knowledge to help you.
-
Dude try Warframe for 10 mins and realize the hype is nothing. The games mechanics/graphics are trash.
-
It is a good ptw free game.
-
Ehh Warframe and Destiny 2 are both meh. Gets too repetitive
-
Yes it is grindy. And yes it is deep, in both lore & gameplay options. It's also free so there's really no downside.
-
No. Play overwatch
-
it's pretty boring tbh.
-
Its honestly really fun, id definitly give it a try. Its free too. The in game purchases are completely optional but arent really needed on my opinion, unless you REALLY REALLY want something quick. So its a bit more of a pay to not wait a week for a item type game. Its still a great game tho
-
If you want to but I recommend having a friend to help you with some of the things. Trust me, you'll understand things faster.
-
It's a very fun game, with micro transactions that aren't pushing you to buy them. Almost everything you can get from micro transactions, you can get in game
-
Get it, it's free, if you don't like it just uninstall it no harm no foul.
-
It's pretty fun. The controls are a little clunky and it is filled to the brim with microtransactions that actually provide real in game advantages, but it's free 2 play. It always seems dumb to me how many people act like they can only play one game at a time. You can play and enjoy Destiny and Warframe, there's nothing wrong with that.
-
It's free. It's fun. Why not add another game to the stable? I play quite a few games, but the two main games I play are Destiny and WF. When I get bored with one, I jump to the other.
-
It's free, so you don't lose anything. I picked it up a while ago, dropped it, then got back into it recently. About 20hrs in the game, and I'm enjoying all of it! Be warned though, it's very grindy, and it does not hold your hand. Look up the warframe wiki and youtube to help with that.
