Then you better not play a game made by EA, 343, Ubisoft, Blizzard, 2K, Bethesda, Bioware, Capcom, etc. On Fridays.
Considering there is literally nothing obtained from Eververse that will give you any advantage over another player. Everything (except for a limited time event) can be obtained by literally just playing the game. Literally everything that you do gives you experience towards Bright Engrams. Everything in Eververse is purely cosmetic.
Now, let's look at the examples that I gave:
EA: Madden 2018
https://www.gamefaqs.com/boards/691088-xbox-one/75710237
In order to obtain the max ranking for your team you are required to purchase cards. There is no other way to obtain said cards.
343: Halo 5
The only "endgame" items to obtain in halo 5 are purely cosmetic armor, and weapons for one time use in Warzone. Both obtained with req packs. Which can be purchased. This allows anyone the ability to literally purchase every unlockable item in the game...
Ubisoft: Assassin's Creed Origins
https://gamerant.com/assassins-creed-loot-boxes/
Has both loot boxes, and items that can literally only be obtained with real money.
Blizzard: World Of Warcraft
https://us.battle.net/forums/en/wow/topic/20420212723
You purchase the game, pay a monthly subscription, and there are still items only obtainable by using real money.
2K: NBA2K18
https://www.google.com/amp/s/kotaku.com/nba-2k18-is-riddled-with-microtransactions-1818554307/amp
Literally pay to win.
Bethesda: skyrim /fallout 4 / quake
https://boards.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/general-discussion/M0aV9hAi-bethesda-went-from-one-of-my-fave-game-studios-to-my-most-despised-now
Reducing the capability of modders, and also now charging for mods.
Also, quake has skins that are only unlockable via money purchases.
Bioware: Mass Effect
https://www.google.com/amp/www.eurogamer.net/amp/2017-10-23-manveer-heir-bioware-mass-effect-ea-monetisation
In the article it explains that someone spent literally 15,000,000 on microtransactions. Need I say more?
Capcom: Street Fighter
https://www.google.com/amp/s/venturebeat.com/2011/03/17/capcom-and-the-abuse-of-customer-loyalty-dlc/amp/
Charge money for costumes. Those costumes are not unlock able in the game any other way (like destiny Eververse items are).
I also believe in the new one it costs money to unlock characters as well. (but this I do not know 100 percent)
As you can see, every developer I previously listed has microtransactions for games that you need to initially purchase to begin with, that are locked behind a "pay wall". Some even make it a requirement in order to max level (Madden). Not all purely cosmetic like Destiny either. Halo 5 offers its entire endgame for purchase. So be sure to boycott those companies as well.

and letting the problem go lets the issue stay and become an even bigger problem. The changes have to start somewhere. EA had their crap thrown back in their face and now so is Bungie, it may not seem like a big thing to you, but the community of these games has had enough.

EA had their crap thrown back in their face and now so is Bungie, it may not seem like a big thing to you, but the community of these games has had enough.
Which is exactly why I made this post pointing out that playing those other games while boycotting will be counterproductive. Glad you agree.
-
I don't, the predatory micro-transactions, ie: eververse, needs to go. As it is Bungie is already making its rep worse then EA's is. As it stands now most of the community already wont purchase another game from either company. but hey, *stares at the dumpster fire bungie has built around the shattered remain of itself* You go right on thinking everything is alright, the majority isn't with you on this one.

I clearly show, some with even the sources listed, that other games are literally pay to win. I even list a game that it is literally impossible to reach max level without utilizing microtransactions. I believe I even included EA in my post. Not once did I say everything was alright? Not once did I say not to boycott? Not once did I say not to do anything about it. I simply provided more companies that are using possibly even worse tactics with microtransactions, and recommended that they be boycotted as well. See, you do agree, whether you admit it or not. Please, stop trying to put words in my mouth and re-read my post before responding...

Just out of curiosity, did those games also throttle XP gains while selling XP boosters in their stores?
Just out of curiosity, did those games also throttle XP gains while selling XP boosters in their stores?
Probably not, but 1 requires you to literally purchase things just to reach the equivalent of max level. At least 2 of them literally give you an advantage over other players in pvp. 1 of them has actual characters that you pay to unlock and can be used in pvp (I never played it so I can't say if those characters are better than the rest, but either way, is that fair?) 2 of the other ones also took away capabilities that players had to expand the game, and are in turn selling content that uses those capabilities. The others have items that can literally only be purchased with money. Not even a chance at getting those items 3 times a week.

This is the game that stole the people here's money, not the laundry list of others that may have charged you money, some of them that didn't try to charge 100 dollars before doing this stupid shit. This is a free to play style in a full charge game. Understand yet? Probably not. You just like blowing hot air I'm sure.

Understand yet? Probably not. You are just blowing hot air I'm sure. Just try to think rationally for 1 second here. If all of these other companies are profiting from similar microtransactions, then video games as a whole will never get out of this microtransaction era. Boycotting 1 game company when there are many others will not change anything. Sure it may change this 1 in particular, as whole, this overall issue will never be resolved with just 1 game. Go ahead. Tell me I'm wrong.

I didn't read your spoilers, until now. I like how you tell people that someone spent 15 million on a game. It was 15k. You know how many zeroes you -blam!-ed that up by? Or how you tell them that you have to buy street fighter characters but you didn't actually even check. But please go on about how I don't know what I'm talking about, when you literally admitted you don't.

My bad, so you now you are saying that it is still ok for a company's microtransactions to be so addictive that someone spends $15,000 on them? That's still a very large number. Sorry bub but the same point is getting across regardless. As for street fighter... Either way, look it up. It is a fact that you purchase street fighter characters. Please explain to me how exactly how my grammatical error, or me admitting that for one part of my post I did not take the time to research disproves that If all of these other companies are profiting from similar microtransactions, then video games as a whole will never get out of this microtransaction era. Boycotting 1 game company when there are many others will not change anything. Sure it may change this 1 in particular, as whole, this overall issue will never be resolved with just 1 game. You replying to this by bringing up grammatical errors just shows that you obviously don't have the capability of disproving anything I have said (except for 1 number).

See you wrote a book. It's not a best seller though. Not gonna read that shit. Shorten your emotional responses up.

Epic burn bro. It's like 3rd degree burn shit.

Why would I waste my time trying to convince an idiot that he is wrong. There are people who believe the earth is flat. But you think that by dancing sideways around the issue I won't focus on how stupid you are. If you want to suck their dick go ahead. But you are comparing apples to zebras. But I'm sure you will write a book and expect me to read it.

Show me where I said I disagree that microtransactions are a good thing. I am literally just providing more companies that should be boycotted as well for similar practices. Yet here you are calling me names and acting like an immature child and somehow think I'm stupid, when you are the one making assumptions with litterally nothing to back them.
-
It's a joke that you think the couple hundred that are posting here will do anything by boycotting. I would go into detail about how stupid your comparisons are but it's a waste of time. Because you, are a waste of time. Self absorbed idiot, you are. You crack me up by how stupid you really are.
-
It's a joke that you think the couple hundred that are posting here will do anything by boycotting.
I agree, it would be a joke. I always have. Because boycotting 1 game isn't going to solve anything. Which is what I've said from my original post.
I would go into detail about how stupid your comparisons are but it's a waste of time. Because you, are a waste of time. Self absorbed idiot, you are. You crack me up by how stupid you really are.
So you can't come back with anything disproving a single thing in my post besides a number typo. So you result in a stream of insults. Funny how simple minds work.

It's not that I couldn't rip it to shreds, it's why would I waste my time? Im pretty busy wasting yours right now.
-
It's not that I couldn't rip it to shreds, it's why would I waste my time? Im pretty busy wasting yours right now.
Yea man obviously you have no comeback nor any useful suggestions on how to improve the game. I think you really need to get the -blam!- out.
-
Edited by JimmyDaConvict: 1/3/2018 11:40:39 PMThere has been 4000 people that have said how to improve the game. This game is shit and can't be fixed, I don't care if it's fixed I paid 100 bucks for this shit. I will come here and make fun of people if I want. He wasn't making suggestions on how to improve it either you twat. He was trying to get weak minded idiots like you to not play it or any other game that charges you money for anything. Even though In this capitalist society, this is how people make a living. It's not the first time I've bugged that twat and it won't be the last. Wasting his time is hilarious. He will reply to anything I post within minutes usually. But yeah keep on trying to insult when you don't even understand the shit that's going on.

Edited by Gu1TaRpuNk41: 1/4/2018 2:10:15 AMFirst paragraph you complain about the game. By the end of the 2nd paragraph you defend it. Funny. Then the best part is when you express your feelings on me personally "It's not the first time I've bugged that **** and it won't be the last." How long until you start a fan club for me considering you enjoy conversing with me so much and already plan on stalking me more? No. You cannot have my autograph.

Edited by JimmyDaConvict: 1/4/2018 3:50:51 AMTalking shit to someone on the internet isn't a fan club, but please inflate your ego with whatever you need, it's hard to be 15 and have no friends. I know your super smart and shit, but I was defending capitalism. There is a difference. I don't have to like what I buy, but I did buy it. Because people exercised their right to sell it. Derp
