Your biggest mistake is the same as other people doing the remove eververse thing and that's assuming we're a community united.
We aren't.
Yes the eververse is a problem that needs addressing but no matter how many forum posts you make, they won't remove it. At best they will put everything for direct sale, at worst they won't do a damn thing but tell you they will.
Either way I speak with my wallet and don't buy anything, that's as far as I go.
I'm not going to stop playing something I was gifted by my daughter and her husband because some numpty on a forum thinks it sounds like a good idea.
I'll play the game and continue ignoring the eververse.

I don’t see why so many people are so mad at eververse it’s way better than it was in D1. I haven’t bought any silver and just from the bright engrams in season 1 I got 3/4 of the exotic emotes 2/3 exotic sparrows one exotic ship and the full set of the season 1 armor anything that I didn’t want I scraped for bright dust to get some ornaments when one came up in the shop. I would take this way over the way it was in D1 where the only way to get cool stuff from events was to buy it

Some of us aren't bothered by how it is now it's future implications we worry about. Things always start small and progress. While now it is small cosmetic items, mods, sparrows, ghost shells etc, as soon as that stops being profitable and/or they realise just how much money they could make selling exotics.... By the time Destiny 3 comes around you'll be buying your gear in the eververse along with raid, crucible and strike passes. If things carry on there will come a time when you buy a shell of a game and the rest is sold to you through microtransactions. My problem isn't with the eververse it's with just how greedy the people behind that eververse are going to get.

Edited by joey big guns: 1/2/2018 9:41:03 PMI might get cancer from smoking or drop dead tomorrow from something falling on my head at work. Shit happens. Sitting around Circle J’n with yourselves worrying about could happen in the future of a video game or video games in general is pretty stupid and unless it’s your job sounds like a waste of -blam!-ing time JS🤷♂️ It’s all cosmetics, always has been, and please stop bringing up mods. You don’t always get them, legendaries are even rarer. Banshee sells Legendaries outright and you’re guaranteed one on a 100% RNG drop.

I'm not worrying about anything, i'm just pointing out a pattern in the gaming industry that's been there since I started gaming in the 80's. Devs and publishers will always try and milk as much money as possible and always will. First time i've brought up mods but they are there so no I won't stop. Difference between banshee and the eververse .... one takes real money. You really just compared an ingame currency store with real money .... I don't think you even know what you are trying to debate there fella. Banshee is supposed to have mods and legendaries, a real money shop isn't.

Edited by joey big guns: 1/2/2018 10:19:34 PMLast I checked you get mods out of brights, which are free. People have been crying about those mods for a while, whether or not you’ve know about the whine over that is irrelevant because it’s still a stupid thing to throw into the complaint column. What kind of dumbass would think they have a better chance at mods by spending money on RNG brights where the drop chance isn’t 100% but Banshee is 100% and it’ll only cost glimmer and mod components, all free. People are dumb but people aren’t that dumb. 😱 business’s trying to make money since the 80s you say!?! That’s like...capitalism. And not wrong. Sounds like you need to go into business for yourself and make your own kind of video games or just stay away from games that have cosmetic micros if that’s too much for you to handle. Especially if you need to sit and ponder and worry about the future of gaming over some Space Barbie accessories.

Lol space Barbie accessories. Got em!

I seriously doubt it would ever get close to being to the point where you would buy things like that. Even just making limited time cosmetics gets people more willing to buy silver
