Personal Feedback: My kind of Destiny [Long post]

Hello everyone, First of all, I am calling myself a casual gamer with some serious hardcore moments. Which means I have a family, tons of and projects (which means a lot of things to do) but when I can separate myself from the real world, I am pushing games hard. Sadly, it bacame a fashion to pull down Destiny 2, especially because of Eververse but there just too much other things to notice in this game. I am taking the opportunity to express my thoughts and share with you my - a bit - different point fo view. Let's bring popcorn to the thread and start with a dividing opinion here: Eververse is not the real problem here so flooding the forum with this will not help. That is just a painful tooth in the body. The real problem is, that this body has broken legs and arms too, plus it has a gun aimed to the head. Eververse does not provides real adventages. All of its content can be grinded. The real problem is the complete grinding system which includes the looting part of it too. People saying that Destiny 2 is running out of content and things to discover wihich is we could say - in a casual way - true. The fact, that the complete item drop is random (based on engrams) makes it even worst. Destiny always tried to sail in the path of Warframe, which is completely fine. Yes, copying is fine, until you are trying to make it better, not just copy and paste. So the solution can be also find in warframe: (and every RPG) to assign specific items to specific locations and / or bosses. To make it more interesting, I would bring in blueprints (not D1 type blueprints) to grind weapon blueprints in different locations to craft it. I would love it and it is not so difficult to make. In this game, it feels like the developers are throwing legendary items at you and you can't even make a difference between rarity levels. I cant even find gear titled to "common". In this game Rare = common, Legendary = Less common, but still common, Exotic = rare. I would balance these drop rates, balance stats AND give more type of stats to items in order to be able to make bigger difference between them. For making it more enjoyable, I would also give the players an ability to communicate more easily, lets say in a form of Public / Zone chat. It is an MMO. They said in an interview that they want to prevent salty players to spam the chat but they are trying to re-invent the spanish candle: adding an option to 'automatically join public chat or not' would solve this issue. I want to trade, chat, looking for group, and communicate in chat. Currently Eververse is as good as it is, but if Bungie are planning to improve the loot system and create something similar which I described above, Eververse is unviable. Selling skins for armors, weapons and vehicles however fully acceptable way of microtransactions in a AAA game with a price tag like Destiny 2. (I am looking at you, Overwatch) Changing the current weapon system might be not the right way, but I think, a set system would be also cool and it would give a real challenge to farm plus, it might exponentially expand the time players can spend in game. For this of course you need more stats for items (mentioned above). In long term, I would also rework the class-sytem and throw away subclasses. In the current system, it is not just recycled from D1, but also feels like the Harry Potter shorting hat. The Traveller tells you "hey, I resurrect you, you will be a Warlock". All guardian have the same light inside. I would love a complex talent tree to spend my points on (like Assassins Creed: Origins) and the amount of points on a specific types of abilities determines that you are mainly belongs to XY class. With this, they can still use class-specific weapons. And what about spells unlocked by a specific set of items? (okay I went too far, sorry) In long-term, I would also love to see my space ship in action. Like fight your way thru the interplanetary deffense to "land" on the planet (raid zone) and defeat the boss with your guardian. whoah that would be epic. There is too much things to do here for a new game, but with these modifications, I would be more than happy. Destiny 2 is a good game in its core, and produced a very good sale but they need to act fast as they lost the majority of their player base and most of them will not even buy the new DLCs especially that Anthem is coming out in 2018 and there is a great chance that it will provide much more at the start. What do you think about the things above? Cheers and a happy new year!
