I'm taking a break from ESO and had been looking for something different to try out. Two had caught my attention before, Wildstar (the combat is great I keep hearing and I like the art style) and Tera.
What are your favorites or the ones you're playing now.

You don’t ask #Gaming to recommend any kind of game to you. The odds are Warframe could be posted at least 763,000 times under this thread.

Edited by Bopsheezi: 1/2/2018 2:24:19 PMSeen it pop up here a few times, but I have to throw FFXIV into here as well. I've been playing it almost nonstop for 3 months. The game is subscription based, however they redid their free trial, and now there is no time limit, and you can level up to level 35 on all your classes before it stops you, and even then you can keep playing content you've already unlocked. You also can't trade, join a free company, or start a party, but if you are the solo type, then that won't be an issue. Also, my gf plays an MMO named Mabinogi, and personally I think it's shit, but she plays it almost daily.

Edited by Dr. Hard On: 1/1/2018 2:13:27 PMWildstar is fun, albeit lacking in terms of a community. If you’re gonna play it, don’t expect to do things you would do in most MMORPGs, like dungeons, raids or PvP. The community is barebones (only a couple hundred ever online) and the Wildstar team itself is small now. It does really well in terms of world design and gameplay. The biggest activity worth doing, at least in my experience, was the endgame zones. They’re filled with bosses and challenges and that’s where you’ll find most people if you’re playing casually. SWTOR is my favorite by far, but I would go on sites like Dulfy.net to get a referral link so you can try it out. The free to play model is really bad, but the game is worth the subscription. There’s a lot of dungeons and raids to do and a decent amount of PvP stuff too, along with a neat Starfighter mode. Its biggest thing is it’s story though, it is a BioWare game after all, so if you like stories, you get 8 of them for each class. Plus the main expansion stories and side quest arcs. The community is nice enough, but it’s also equal parts cancer since there are some notable trolls. If you do end up liking it, I might throw some money your way for a non recurring subscription. There’s always WoW, which is the present day model for the “best” MMORPG now. You do have to subscribe to experience everything, but it’s definitely worth it. Tera is cool, I never got into it because it looks and feels like any other Korean MMO. But if you’re into that sort of thing, it is free and plenty of fun.
If you play any of these, feel free to hit me up, MMORPGs are my favorite kind of game to play, so I’m always down to play if you want.
Wildstar is a good game that had the potential to be amazing. Tera is a pretty good now, it's had a few changes which made it more enjoyable. SWTOR is good but only if you are willing to sub to it. Their free to play model is awful. Final Fantasy 14 is the one I play, it's fantastic but it is subscription based. No it won't be going free to play. Scarlet Blade and Warhammer Online both shut down but have free private servers going. Scarlet Blade has lots of boobs.

Pc or console? Console is really lacking where I'd say ESO is about the only decent one there. There is neverwinter and D.C. Universe as well. Pc has much more from SWOTOR, D@D, WoW, guild wars, LoTR, Rift, etc etc.

FF14 is great bit it gets incredibly expensive over time. Lots of content though!

An MMO? Hmm...I would say WoW.

FFxiv

Final Fantasy XIV by a mile. Easily one of the best MMO's out there, if not the best. Only problem is the brutal subscription + expansion paygate if you want the full experience.
-
If you don't mind a sub I highly recommend FFXIV. Absolutely amazing game.
-
WoW. Wildstar is a lot of fun, too. I was playing it for a lot longer than I expected.
-
Tera is awesome but heard it struggled on the console beta

FFXIV. Been playing it a lot recently. By far the best mmo I've played. I love how you can level every crafting, gathering and combat classes all on one character.
