"I shall leave Jeremiah here to assist with matters." Alric gestured to the large six foot knight that stood several feet away. A silent protector for Alric.
"If you wish, you may send your best negotiator. It would be perhaps... Beneficial to have delegates of the Trayvern and Dojo forces."

"...Funny. The first and only negotiation we had with the guys before the Tribune, they were.. tortured, mutilated, and a whole lot worse before they came back to Trayve." Elina gulped a little, sighing. "Sure, sure. I know one.. Darius. He's trained for this sort of thing, you'd like him. Just.. don't die, alright?"
-
"I won't, Elina." The Witcher gave a warm smile to his second in command, laying a hand on her shoulder. "Besides, if I died, who would you talk to about war!" Alric laughed... A gruff, almost scratchy laugh... But a laugh nonetheless.
-
"Well.. there's a few people, I guess, though you're the most interesting." Elina smiled at that, bowing her head towards Alric then. "I'll fetch Darius for you. You get a team set up, and.. well, pack some food. Getting lost out here would be awful."

Edited by Royal Blade: 12/30/2017 6:33:54 PM"It will be done, my lady." With that said, the Witcher stalked off to prepare provisions and a team for the journey.
Timeskip?
-
Sure.
As the group would set off, Alric would find himself accompanied by this Darius, who only mentioned his first name and role: "Darius, I'll be negotiating - hopefully - with these Tribune. We shouldn't waste time!" The group would come across a Tribune encampment that had ceased combat with the Trayvens, at least for a short time. It appeared to have been attacked, with filled body bags within the encampment and mounds of sand warriors being burnt.
-
"These savages are brutal in nature, I almost admire their attack strategies..." Alric kept his straight forward as they walked, not paying attention to the dead.
-
"They swarm and slaughter with an overwhelming assault.." Darius muttered, as the group would come across what seemed to be the leader of the remaining encampment: a knight, of some stature. He would bow his head towards the Trayven forces silently. "Sir Alric."
-
"You have me at a loss, sir. I don't know your name." Nodding his head toward the knight that spoke, Alric extended a hand to shake.
-
"Apologies, I figured that a Trayven would alert you of our short negotiations.. before the peace, anyway." The man would fulfill the handshake, grabbing Alric's hand firmly. "Xander. I trust this is about the sand warrior threat?"
-
"They Trayverns did inform me. They simply did not inform of your name, Sir Xander." Alric shrugged slightly, giving a warm smile. "And yes, that would be the reason for our being here. It seems these sand warriors are a common threat between our people. I would rather not be nuisanced by their presence. I already have much to deal with."
-
"A common threat? Did no one tell you about the enemy of your enemy quote?" Xander had questioned quietly, tilting his head as he would walk towards his encampment, past the burning piles and body bags. Darius would follow him still, though the man would keep his silence.
-
"The enemy of my enemy... Is my enemy?" The Witcher recited, in a questioning manner, what Elina said to him earlier. The quote he believed to be the one that Xander was speaking of currently.
-
"...The phrase is usually used as "the enemy of my enemy is my friend", but.. I understand. It seems rather honest of you." Well, Xander seemed to slightly approve. A little, anyhow. "What of these sand warriors, then? What do they want?"
-
"If I were to guess, I would say that these sand warriors are looking to loot our corpses. The thrill of killing perhaps? Some are born of nothing but war." The answer was slightly more philosophical than Xander might have expected from a warrior such as Alric. Though, all commanders had a certain widened to them.
-
"Loot us, or worse, enslave us all to their own will. Such beings could bring us to our knees if we aren't careful." Xander sighed, returning his steel gaze over to Alric as they passed by a mound of corpses, entering the man's tent quietly. "An enemy of this capacity needs to have a new leader. Our Knight-Commander killed their previous one in one-on-one combat. I.. believe you two met in the Battle for Khalosh."
-
"An honourable fighter." Alric nodded his head, looking back at battle. It had been a hard fight, he could appreciate the knights tactics. "If your Knight Commander could defeat them in battle, I'm sure we will be able to do the same."
-
"Not in the mist of battle, though in the result of betrayal. The sand warrior attacked a prisoner of war that was vital to our cause. In whatever panic he was in, that man drew his sword against the Tribune and our Commander. The result was.. decapitation." Xander sighed, sitting at his war table. "What of you? Would you have any news on these warriors?"
-
"There is only one thing I know about these warriors. They have some sort of... Dragons." Alric fell silent, letting the word dragon sit in the air for a few moments. "Extremely dangerous, we barely managed to defeat it as was."
-
"We saw those.. things. The dunes dug up from the earth." Xander sighed, clutching his fist. "I lost good men and women to one of those monsters."
-
"Do you know have any notion as to what they are? I've seen wyverns and dragons before, but this... This trumps everything I've seen." Alric took a seat at the table, laying his hands in his lap.
-
"In the days of the Conquest of Rivelria.. King Armillion's invading force fought these things, though the monsters were lesser in numbers and stature. They were born of Khaom's dragons, typically the runts, with manticores mating with them in the process. The result created vile things, but these abominations are.. stronger." Xander muttered, sighing. "We cannot fight them like this. We have to take the offensive while we can, whenever we can, or we'll be ticked off like flies, one by one."
-
"That is also why we must band together. These abominations and their masters are enemy to us both. If we wish to survive, we must fight together." Alric drummed his fingers against the wooden surface of the table, giving a light smile to Xander. "It may be problematic, but it must be done. For all of our sakes. Though, I will admit. The aftermath will be bloody if we do not control our forces after we escape these lands."
-
"Perhaps this could be the beginning of some.. well, peace, between both factions?" Darius would kick in, smiling a little. Only, Xander would shoot a glance at him, before returning his gaze to Alric. "Tell me. Do you trust the snakes of Trayve, or what you see upon the battlefield? There will be no peace, not after what happened in Khalosh, and not as that corrupted king Armillion sits on that throne. This is a temporal alliance, unfortunately."
-
"I am aware of this. I am not precisely recommending peace. But I do not wish to battle your forces immediately after our battle with the Sand Warriors." Alric shot a glance at Darius, forcing a smile. "I merely request that we have one or two days to... Prepare our forces if we plan to do battle with one another.
-
"...I don't seek to fight your armies, because I already know the result. These sand warriors would be vultures afterwards, picking us off.. We must align, or withdraw from Rivelria. I am afraid that is no longer an option." Xander stated, looking at Alric. A suggestion of peace.. though Elina would never agree with it.
