Edited by RiteToAscension: 12/27/2017 6:15:16 PMSorry Bungie/Acitivision...but the way you've been conducting yourselves recently has been true BS. I am not completely against micro-transactions to help support games (when they deserve it). But the fact that the first expansion and the first Dawning live event threw most of the new gear behind a random loot box paywall is unacceptable. It's a lazy money grab. The Vex themed armor for Curse of Osiris shouldn't be sold from a currency kiosk. The same with the Dawning themed armor. These pieces of gear should be earned through events, quests, or challenges related to the live event or expansion. When I have acquired a set of armor or some weapons in this game, I should be able to look back and say "wow...that grind was kinda long but totally worth it!". I shouldn't look back and say "wow....I just paid an additional $40 and only got half of the armor set....but I got 4 of the same ship". When I see other players running around the social area with these full armor sets, I know that they didn't put the time in to acquire them. They just pulled out their credit cards. This is not the way it should be. Back in D1: Rise of Iron, I was curious about your introduction of "Dusty Iron Engrams" and later, the "Exodus/Triad/etc Engrams" that you added to the factions in Age of Triumph. While it was nice to add a way to get old gear (the gear that actually looked good....I'm lookin at you Hunter Sojourn Armor and Warlock Nerigal Savant Armor), it was sad that you put it behind random loot boxes. I had no idea that those engrams were just a test platform for the crappy loot boxes and engrams that you implemented in D2. Eververse needs to either become a source for emotes and your crappy consumable shaders only, or removed entirely.
