...really tried , to like D2.
To be honest, the only thing that keeps me coming back is the FPS physics and the artwork - not the game itself, in terms of either its rewards, its structure or its re-playability. If another game ever reaches the same level of aim/reaction - then I'm gone. I hate 3rd person shooters and RPG's - I like the the run and gun style of Destiny.
I can't spend more than 20-40 minutes continuously playing as I have other responsibilities in life, so the raid is no-mans land for me - as are most nightfalls. Many of my friends from D1 did not come over in the upgrade and still fewer bought into season 2. When I look at the Xbox achievements list and see that less than 15% have completed the raid - its no small wonder why people are leaving in droves - the rewards from this game just plain suck. It seems built for squeakers who have a much tighter community of local friends they can rely on - although I seriously doubt for myself and others, that the time required to squeeze a drop of honey from this lemon is in anyway physically or mentally healthy.
To grind for tokens is ludicrous - why have these 'daily milestones'? Heroic missions that spawn you into a herd of adds over and over is just poor game design. And can you just please stop with these stupid shaders?
To date, yes I will continue to play, for at least the near term - but the only reasons are the weekly powerful gear rewards - which usually are not what I actually need and public events for the every once and awhile exotic engram.
Three of coins and fireteam medallions are relatively useless purchases - I see almost the same exotic drop rate as I do without them. The games ability to reward you with exactly what you do not need is obviously intentional - to keep you coming back for the next bread crumb.
I also do NOT like the light cap/gear reset mentality. The fastest way to gear up is to choose one sub-class and one set of gear and grind to max it out. That means, one helm, one chest piece, et al... now with season two - it is best to do the same thing, which means what I have invested in after reaching cap in S1 - gets deleted, because you use that to calculate rewards - this is truly a backwards system.
Look Bungie - its like this, people play this game for rewards, not for cosmetics and disappointment. When the games AI is structured to punish more than reward for the purposes of 'keep trying' - there comes a time when common sense has to kick in - and say, this game really does fail on several fronts. The irony is, you establish the light cap, which BTW is the only goal that interests me... and you make it hard to get there, fine - but don't be so ignorant that the disappointment of reward after reward getting no closer to that goal - that you think this is good game design.
Here is to hoping for a better Destiny 2018 - but at this point, I have lost faith in Bungie that it will be. So back to grinding for bread crumbs until something better comes along... cheers.

I agree with you so much the game feels more like a chore then a game It needs improvements and it needs them bad

I agree with much of what you said, particularly where loot and replayability is concerned. Waiting for the next title that can give smooth play and decent graphics. Nothing else here to see.
