I just made my first voidwalker warlock and I was looking at the Grenade overcharge perk for the chaos attunement. It says it increases grenade effectiveness and deadliness when you overcharge the grenade with the super energy. What exactly does it do? I was messing around and it doesn't seem to do more damage, because on a knight guy it does 219 or something no matter if you charge it or not. also, how much can you overcharge it? Do you only need to overcharge it for a second to get the maximum effectiveness or can you use up all of your super energy and then have it be EXTREMELY effective. Thanks in advance!

As far as I am aware you only have to use a bit of your Super to "activate" the Overcharged Status. Further draining your Super does not increase effectiveness beyond that. For Vortex Grenades, it increases the radius of the damaging field. For Axion Bolts, it increased the amount of projectiles. And if I'm not mistaken, then Scatter Grenades track when you overcharge them.
