Let's be real and take a small break from the "Remove Eververse" posts real quick, I levelled up my titan a while ago, and tried using the subclass that gives me Ward of Dawn. But in every activity, I couldn't find a good place to use it over the shield. It just doesn't have what it used to (Blessing/Weapons of Light). I'm not saying that's a problem, balancing around weapons must've been hell for raids, but in doing that, Ward of Dawn lost it's touch. The only place I've seen it used is PvP when people lock down a zone. I'm also gonna guess that the 2 subclass trees was a decision made to make balancing easier, but I believe you should change the Defender subclass tree with Ward of Dawn due to it being severely underused, and in some encounters, useless.
I suggest, that instead of keeping Ward of Dawn, you change the shields blocking radius. Something akin to Reinhardt's shield in Overwatch. I would say that instead of the Bubble, Titan's should be able to block all damage for their team from a specific direction, and allow teammates to shoot through it. I don't know how tough this would be to implement, I'm imagining it'd be damn hard. But it would be worth it in the long run, you would have to decide in a raid if you wanted your titan to block all incoming damage or have him do damage. Idk just a bit of rambling, just figured that you guys at bungie wanted to stop balancing raids around "they'll probably have Weapons of Light during every fight."
Now to anyone else that has some suggestions for any sort of defender change it'd be cool to hear. Let's just keep this place clear of "Remove Eververse" please. The concept itself is fine. I'm just tired of seeing it literally everywhere.
