You know forums are for opinions right? For people to chime in like you come & chimed in here.
I've not belittled anyone and as I live in the UK I know you can play the lottery at 16. Other forms of gambling are 18.

So calling someone's post "ridiculous" isn't belittling? Yes you can play the lottery at 16, something I don't agree with and I know some MP's feel the same way because they have brought it up in the House of Lords. The bottom line is I can't imagine anyone in their right mind spending hundreds of pounds on things to make your avatar in a computer game look good. Especially when they already have spent money buying the game. But I know people that have done just that. And I know for a fact that their wages can't sustain that type of spending on imaginary items. The system is set up to pray on the vulnerable. Yes society has vulnerable people in far worse conditions that should take priority for the UN or whoever is there to lookout for them but shouldn't we as the Destiny community be looking out for one another?

No it's not at all in my opinion. It's clearly a bait post and is a ridiculous notion. He wasn't offended and engaged with me & it's all good forum fun. I haven't, nor will spend any money at eververse because I don't need to. I have lots of bright dust saved & will buy all the armour if it doesn't drop through engrams. But if certain people can not live without said items in a game then they have bigger life issues and should get the appropriate help. Gambling is everywhere and unavoidable especially in the UK with a bookmakers in every estate, high street and all the betting apps. Personally I don't like the randomness of eververse and would prefer a more fixed store to get what we want. I don't think it's predatory at all though.

The whole allure of gambling is predatory by nature. Your handing over money for nothing more than hope. The rational mind can analyse the chances of winning and work out in all reality your not going to get what you want and therefore just walk away. But gambling isn't designed to pray on the rational mind it's the vulnerable that it goes after. The people who hope more than they think. And there are plenty of people like that otherwise gambling would not be such a big business. The trouble with the rational mind is that in most cases it cannot empathise with the irrational mind and therefore can't see the problem for what it is.
