Well I'm not sure why anyone supports the predatory and manipulative practices rampant in the gaming industry right now. But if you're among those that do, you might want to watch the video below.

When not just players, gaming press, and mainstream press, but now legislators are starting to expose and stand up against the practice of gambling-disguised-as-content that the gaming developers/publishers are so in love with.... Maybe it's time to re-evaluate what side you are on.
I for one cannot support the practice of preying on impressionable children and people prone to gambling addiction in order to make a buck. This is not what gaming has been about as long as I've been a gamer (my first game was Space Invaders on the Vic 20, to give you an idea how long that is lol), and it's time that we put our foot down on this crap. If gaming companies can't get by on the profits of millions of $70-100 purchases, there is something wrong.
That something is greed. Full stop.
So while spamming the forums, Reddit, and social media is a good start, if you really want to do something to stop this trend, and maybe save the hobby of gaming that's been such a huge part of many of our lives, then talk to your legislators. Call their offices. Send emails. Write letters. Let them know that it's time they hold these corporate slimeballs to task. This pressure is the only thing that will really get things moving back in the right direction.
