I have never been a fan of micro-transactions and I personally never spend real money in a game except for the base game and download content but I never had anything against them as long as they are cosmetics only. Destiny 2 hid ships, sparrows and ghosts behind a pay wall BUT they gave us an option to gain them in-game by just playing the game, which for me its a really good idea. (I know that there was throttling but this issue was sorted, no developer is innocent)
I love live events, I like how it gave us an extra reason to play the game and gain loot .... until this dawning event. I have seen that we get a milestone which can be redeemed only on ONE character and a freebie at the beginning of the event, this means that you can get 7 engrams in the whole dawning event per account. I have seen (not 100% sure) that there are 81 items in this dawning event. This does not make sense, this is a collecting game and getting over 75% of the loot is through real money.
As I said and I will repeat I am not against micro-transactions, in this event I am against the amount of loot that you can get in game vs the amount you can get from buying them. I don't expect to get all 81 items in the game but 7? Seriously Bungie? Is this a reasonable amount? I'm not asking to remove Everest from the game but for future events (now that this is too late to improve) consider that people would love an option to just play the game and get a decent amount of loot like we did before.

I'm really confused, what did you have to buy ? You do realise you can get the loot through just playing the game. I have lots of the crap, not that I care for it, but still lots of it. I am confused at were the actual requirement is to buy this ? Deleting an old sparrow or ship actually give you bright dust, deleting shaders (god we have a million of them) gives you bright dust, it even gifts you gifts of bright dust. Why is the "best loot" in the game stuff that has no bearing or use in the game ? This is not a defence of micro transactions just a question.
