Destiny 2 is pay-to-win

Winning = achieving the ultimate goal. The ultimate goal in Destiny 2 is 100% cosmetic - it's about equipping a full set of the "coolest", most unique or supposedly rarest gear (exclusive gear) in the game. That gear is only obtainable from Bright Engrams (which are purchasable with real money). Winning Destiny 2 is NOT about completing every mission - this is obvious as the gameplay revolves around grinding. What do you grind for? The best gear - and ultimately to become the "coolest" Guardian to walk the planet. "Cool" = cosmetic Almost all cosmetics (and the best) are only in Bright Engrams. Bright Engram contents change each season, and additional bright engram variations are the sole source of unique cosmetics for events such as the Dawning. As the cosmetics change within Bright Engrams, never to be seen again once the season or event ends, they become exclusive. Destiny 2 is pay-to-win, as "winning" is this game is classified as owning the most exclusive gear. It is perfectly clear that this is intended by the game designers, for the reasons expressed above. P.S. I am purchasing no further expansions or sequels to the Destiny series. As expressed above, this game's primary design philosophies [as a storefront for micro-transactions preying on the natural human trait of the need to compete] are in no way different to those of the highly controversial Star Wars Battlefront 2. I will not support this design philosophy and therefore the Destiny franchise.

 • The only way to win at this game is by being the successor at a challenge. Whether it be PvE or PvP, nothing is more valuable than the hand of a skilled Guardian to accomplish a task. By the way, my Hunter is the best looking Nightstalker I've seen in D2, obviously IMO, and only one piece is from Iron Banner. The rest consists of various gear from different planets. My point is, I don't take Eververse as something I seriously have to partake in. I consider it a bonus to receive superficial crap like Emotes and whatever else it has. Whether Eververse exists or not, the main problem with this game (if I had to pick just One, hmm... ) is it's lack of content. Plain and simple. This game is not worth full retail price due to it's quality, and you can cry about how you wanna be "cool" in the game but can't because Tess Everess has your wallet by the balls, but in truth, no one is forcing you to purchase anything from that store. If this game had actual quality to it where 'lack of content' was not a problem, people like you would still have something to complain about, but it wouldn't bother the majority due to the game being worth the initial investment. Poor you. You can't be cool because only Eververse has the gear you want to look cool. Boohoo. I bet you're the type that loves being showered with Legendary and Exotic Engrams and yearn no challenge in the likes of something this game calls 'Prestige'. Superficial scrub.
