So everyday I contemplate firing up my Xbox and playing Destiny 2 with some of my friends but something is always there to hold me back. In Destiny 1 I would rush home everyday and play the game for hours but with Destiny 2 I can't even manage to turn the game on. In all honesty I have no suggestions of what needs to be changed to make this game what it once was but clearly you've kicked my addiction and made me be sober for the last couple of months. I wish I had some more feedback but please bring back the game that most of us played for thousands of hours.

After i saw that the brainiacs at bungie wanted me to do 40 strikes for materials to just get one gun instead of letting me get them running public events I gave up. I'm not even sure i'll be back for the next one with the season pass, they can't even be bothered to put trophies to grind for in these now.
-
There's no grind. Grinding for tokens to get the same gun over and over, and then dismantle these items to then cash into the gunsmith, to then get another thing you already have to turn back into gunsmith materials. Static rolls are killing the games replayability and longevity. Exotics are underwhelming, however slightly getting better and only two exotics are actually worth having. Mod system is bang average and could be so much better which I think D2 has to work on if they want the success of Destiny 1 if they're not going to introduce random rolls again.

Bungie is listening. Shop eververse. Friendship.

Add to the fact that Stars Wars TLJ was phucking garbage and your pain then becomes real!
-
Well let's see -dumbed down class system -dumbed down movement -dumbed down PvP with no skill gap(I could elaborate on ways to fix this for 20 minutes, but basically go back to D1 ) -showering us with uninspired reskins with perks that are all worthless -only two PvP playlists, that are all essentially the same. The list goes on

Same here man. It truly makes me sad which is also somewhat sad. D1 elimination and skirmish was always on my mind at work and i would always dedicate some time to play afterward. When i needed a break from reading and homework, i would hit up some elimination When i was having a bad day, i would destroy people in skirmish When i was feeling badass and fearless, i would trample peeps in rumble Now, all i can do is play random boring game modes where people just group together and teamshoot. Theres no opportunity to own the win as an individual. D2 sux really really bad. What a shame!

Well I got suckered into buying the season pass, that's for sure. After seeing what they did on the first dlc, I'm pretty convinced that this developer is totally lost on just about every single thing they do. Just about everything they have done has been a cluster f**k. The game looks like it was made by an AAA company, but the inner workings of the game was designed by a bunch of 12 year olds (*looking at you Luke Smith, head 12 yr old*). The communication from this developer is the worse I ever seen. The community managers are a joke! Where are they even?? Its hopeless for this game with the current leadership in place. This developer is going on a major downtrend and I don't think there is anything they can do to save they game. Hoping there is another dev working on a similar type game that will get it right. Only time will tell

Yea, this game SUCKS and Bungie HATES fun👎🏻
-
Well you play on Gaybox. That’s your first problem.

I forget which Bungie stooge let the cat out of the bag, but during a live stream they essentially said that things were watered down on purpose to make it easier to balance things in pvp. That's why super trees were neutered, weapons have fixed rolls, cooldowns take longer, grenades/melees are pathetic, etc. On a side note, they also just stripped D1 of content, repackaged it, sold it to us, and are now slowly selling us back all of the things that they took out. Have you wondered why ghosts don't affect Power level anymore? Well that was so they could sell them to you as cosmetic items. I have zero hate for people who like D2, but I do acknowledge that this game was watered down for them. It was made bland and uncomplicated so that people could buy the game and play for a few hours and call it quits. The people who like this game can't understand games like warframe, and don't want to learn. Which is fine and will ultimately (probably) be more profitable for Bungie. But, I hate it.

I'm in the same boat. I haven't logged into D2 since early October I think, not really sure to be honest. I think about it, my friends ask me to log in, I just can't find the desire to actually do it. I was a daily player in D1 and thoroughly enjoyed the game from day 1 to the release of D2. Like you, D2 has cured my addiction and that is so disappointing. Oh well...
-
The same here! I don't think I ate at the dinner table for ??? who know how long cause I was so fixed on playing trials and pvp in D1. It was great! I don't get that same feeling anymore and it's a bummer. No one I used to play with in D1 even plays this anymore. I'll still mess around in D1 sometimes and I miss it
-
Feel exactly the same, played with a great bunch of friends sadly I don’t anymore because D2is a pale imitation of a game which I can’t bring myself to play as it’s so boring.playing warframe which is so much better
-
Totally! Let’s take a poll to see if Bungie should bring back vex and ghorn! Vote below? https://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/240540599/0/0

I don't even know where to begin to speak about my disappointment. I've never commented before but have played sind D1 day 1. Hundreds, maybe thousands of hours. I'm not happy playing a game that I loved for PVE that is balanced around PVP. I see the same criticism reflected everywhere on this forum, youtube, and reddit. I agree with all of it. This developer has let us down. Honestly...I'm just tired of this. Bungie, please fix it?
-
The MAIN thing that went wrong is Bungie destroyed loot by putting in static rolls Many players spent most of their time in D1 grinding for godrolls. Cant do that anymore No fun "grinding" just to get the same ass rolled guns over and over again .
-
Edited by JB_rocks: 12/18/2017 7:41:14 PMWhat happened is Bunghole figured out how to be much more profitable, evidently there's enough idiots out there who pay for this crap.. you're not alone, but most of us have left.. hop back in here once a week just to LMFAO at these forums.. one way to get value of the $60 spent..

I have to agree. Destiny 1 had its share of problems, but the loot made it worth the grind. Exotics were, for the most part, 'exotic'. Jade Rabbit, TLW, Thorn, Queenbreaker's Bow, Lord of Wolves, Ice Breaker, G'horn, Truth, Thunderlord, etc... were all fun weapons to use. And now we have nothing but bland exotics; static rolled legendary weapons that are all basically the same; a mutilated skill tree; the same boring enemies; and a DLC with one of the most ridiculous campaign stories ever written (we go out of our way to rescue a guy and he freaking goes right back! FU Osiris!!). Add in the worst PvP I have ever played and you have a recipe for disaster. Not surprising, but yet again, my list of people playing the DLC has been decimated by this beautiful disaster- just 2 weeks in.
-
What’s terrible about this whole situation is if they just copy and pasted destiny 1 from the get go, people would have lost their minds and been all kinds of pissed. But now that everyone can see how bad it can be when they completely ditch everything that made D1 great and replay-able, it’s even worse. Now just about everybody apart from the simple minded would be extremely happy if they just took the visuals and sounds from D1 and made it look as good as D2.

What's holding you back is this: "You value your time and having fun. This game does not consider your time or your fun to be important factors. Therefor, you would rather watch a youtube video shitting on the game than actually playing it, because THATS more fun and a more rewarding slice of your time." Am i right?
-
But the Dawning is back! Remember the same dawning gear was there to purchase for silver in Destiny 1?! Now you can buy more silver in Destiny 2 so you can have the same armor back but with no perks. What a scam...

Much better stuff to do on Youtube

Obviously there's been some "mistakes" as they've well put with xp throttling, broken Prometheus, end game loot but there's still a lot of people out here in the world supporting the destiny franchise. Most gamers are out in search of the perfect challenge right? My option is why not give them some true feedback? I personally like destiny since skyrim and fallout were virtually endless games that you could explore and there's destiny being a futuristic first person shooter with same capabilities of endless hours of gameplay? Honestly? I think in house game testers are not going to be the way to go. Obviously the beta was put out but to what effect? Obviously there are communication issues, more obvious is the endless cry for that great end game content and unbroken weapons, items, useful perks and missions people would like to come back to. Wanna make a great game? Get outside and I mean actual outside 100 or more gamers from each platform of play, no exclusives for any platform...we're gamers not jealous little children waving something a different person will never be able to obtain for a few years, get them to try your stuff before unleashing it to the world which doing so has caused quiet the uproar and thrown controllers, fix the patches beforehand so we have more time to play rather than wait to see what could possibly go wrong next. Guys...we're all good at math and some of us so good that we've crunched numbers to figure out the flaws, the lies, xp throttling to make it so we'd buy the loot instead of earning it. I figured that out first day of play when I did every public event on earth first of course but I kept doing them to level up fast to not have any loot withheld from me so I kept going and found the flaw. I crunch numbers...it's my job. Hire some real outside help from actual fans. Every job I've ever had usually inside testing first before release never gets things where your true fans need it to be. FPS Tournament participants, the hardcore to the casual. Closed minds are like closed doors they never open unless you give it the momentum to go in the directions it needs. So get the outside testers for your content by true fans, you'll get true feedback and what could honestly be made better, develope the patch then and there, release it then keep the servers going because like a small child who gets something awesome for christmas or a birthday coming to find out it needs batteries and figure out there are none? All the jobs I've worked for I was there for nearly everyday but the day of the holiday to make sure people would come back to things working the way they should. Till this day I can honestly say I've never been wrong to do so and can give you lists. So I don't mean to rain on your parade but your fan base is you're "money" source and your fan base is angry and quitting you like a bad habit. EA screwed it up with their loot box craze where the actual government had to practically shut them down and they lost countless billions. Don't let your fan base do that to you. We bought the game. Give us what we're do craving and for the love of our ghosts just do as we ask would you? COMMUNICATE!!!

Same for me. :( really missing the rushing home and playing the game with no end :(

Destiny 1 and Destiny 2 are the same game. Same dlc model, same boring missions, same mediocre story, same pretty empty patrol zones, same average arsenal of basic ass weapons that despite being in a futuristic Sci fi fantasy shooter set 1000 years into the future our most sought after weapon was a rocket launcher. The only real defining difference between these two games was Destiny 1s rng and loot. Destiny 2 doesn't have that, and as such people are no longer distracted from why this franchise is so mediocre.
