Why is nobody taking them to court in a class action lawsuit for stealing our money? They lowered XP to not be acquiring the correct amount of the Buff from the Fire-team Medallion that you BUY thru Ever-verse. So, There are people who spend 20$ and get Silver, they then use the Silver and purchase items. These Medallions are 50 Dust, lets assume you bought 20$ worth. Every-time you consumed the Medallion you were expecting an Increase in XP but you were not getting that full Increase. So you were spending 50 Dust for maybe Half of what was stated you would acquire... How is that not a scam???

 • Wrong! A game sold in this way i.e. 60 dollars for the game. Is a completed and legal transaction. If Bungie want's to run Destiny as a subscription service then they would need to explicitly do so. Why do you think the content removal from vanilla had to be reversed? It was because the game was sold with it and not even the pro-corporation laws of the US could cover the removal of content from something that was already sold. This is why Sony and Microsoft were forced to give refunds and came down on Bungie to fix it or remove destiny from sale! Bungie could very well end up with a class action against them. If enough people get angry enough at them it's going to happen and Lawyers like a good old fashioned payout!

 •
Have you received an education? Do you understand what you agreed to when you signed the Terms and Conditions?
Delivering a game that doesn't function as advertised is actually against their terms. But I shouldn't have to tell you, cause you read the T&C, right?

 • The game functions as advertised. This is a bug, not evil overlords trying to steal your money. It might be frustrating but get over it.

It might be frustrating but get over it.
3oC could very well be and they've already stated (surprisingly) they're looking into in it. However, this topic, unless you didn't actually read what you replied to, is about XP medallions and XP throttling issue, which is against their terms. And they already admitted to defrauding us by stealing our time, bright dust, and in some cases, yes, real money by secretly and deliberately throttling XP. And they also had to reverse course on the content lockouts because it broke the base game intentionally 3 months after console launch and 6 weeks after launch for PC. Steal our money? Debatable. Evil overlords? They're doing their best to be that with all their shenanigans lately.

 •
This might be the dumbest thing I've ever read... just saying
It actually has legal precedence, as people were buying products not functioning as advertised.

 • I can't believe that. From personal experience, 1 Three of Coin usually equals 1 Exotic Engram in any activity. I've not had that many consistant Exotic Engram drops in anything before the update when they were added.

 • I guarantee if you read the Terms and Conditions it more than legally covers them on this. Probably not the answer you want, but I understand your anger.

 • SERVICE PROVIDED CONTENT: “Service Provided Content" consists of those materials provided to Program users (e.g., unlockable content, accounts, stats, virtual assets, virtual currencies, codes, and achievements) in connection with use of the Program. While the Program may allow you to “earn”, "buy", or "purchase" Service Provided Content within or in connection with gameplay, you do not in fact own or have any property interest in the Service Provided Content. Unless otherwise specified in writing, any Service Provided Content that you receive is licensed to you as set forth herein, and you shall have no ownership right thereto. Unless specifically permitted by Bungie, you may not, sell, lend, rent, trade, or otherwise transfer any Service Provided Content. Service Provided Content may be altered, removed, deleted, or discontinued by Bungie at any time (e.g., upon termination of this Agreement and/or cessation of online support for the Program), even if you have not “used” or “consumed” the Service Provided Content prior to alteration, removal, deletion, or discontinuation. Without limiting the above, Service Provided Content may include virtual coins, points or other virtual currencies (“Virtual Currency”). By purchasing or otherwise acquiring Virtual Currency, you obtain a limited license (which is revocable by Bungie at any time unless otherwise required by applicable laws) to access and select from other Service Provided Content. Virtual Currency has no monetary value and does not constitute currency or property of any type. Virtual Currency may be redeemed for other Service Provided Content only, if at all. Virtual Currency cannot be sold or transferred, and cannot be exchanged for cash or for any other goods and services, except for other Service Provided Content, where applicable. Subject to applicable local law, Virtual Currency is non-refundable. You are not entitled to a refund or any other compensation such as Service Provided Content for any unused Virtual Currency and unused Virtual Currency is non-exchangeable. While it doesn't specifically cover this exact scenario, it does make it abundantly clear you do not own any digital currency in D2. I skimmed through the other sections and there's also a class action waiver, so everyone would have to submit individualy.

 •
Bungie may change and update Online Services or Service Provided Content without notice to you (provided always that any such changes do not result in material degradation in the functionality of the Program or any Service Provided Content which has been paid-for with real money[).
Offering items that double XP combined with displaying incorrect values for throttled XP most certainly falls under this statute. Any person(s) who may have purchased 3rd party items for the explicit purpose of getting bonus XP codes and didn't receive said bonus were defrauded by paying for a product that functioned differently than what was advertised.

 • Im just throwing the idea out there. Its like going to the Car Dealership and buying the Premium Edition of the Car but only getting the Stock Edition.

 • Bad analogy. A car costs way more to buy than a video game so it only makes sense to get your money's worth from buying a premium edition car. Also, I don't think vanilla Destiny 2 was labeled as the "Premium Edition" version of the game. We'd have to wait a few years for that... if the franchise is still alive by that time.
