Cain ran this all through his head. It was...a lot. A ridiculous amount actually. If he was fighting for the wrong side, then he had killed in cold blood...again. If not, then the man in front of him was trying to manipulate him. But what if Freya did the same...? He could very well have been being played by both sides. Both for their personal gain. They both had their truths, but both had their lies as well. The middle ground....
Would be impossible. At least...as of now. He would need Lilly....that much was for sure. But if he would be able to do it...
Maybe he could get to the bottom of it.
He would let go of the man then, patting his clothes where he had gripped his collar. Cain would give the man an friendly smile.
“My sister...she too is a healer.”

"She heals the troops, too? I only hope that she wasn't in that.. massacre." The cleric sighed, nodding towards Cain. "Thank you, sir.. knight. For your mercy."
-
Cain would nod to the man as well. “Go in peace, Cleric.” He would say in farewell, before leaving the alleyway and making his way to the road. He had to find Freya now, and looked around for the woman he had called his commander.
-
Freya would be found, at.. a row, or rather a mound at this rate, of the fallen, body bags being supplied as the dead were being carried out. Freya stood there, staring down at the loss of life, even supporting the bagging efforts. She seemed to be focusing on something else.
-
This wouldn’t bother Cain, as the man sheathed his weapon but walked with heavy feet towards Freya. He approached her, his looming presence giving away his position as he neared.
-
"...They never found him." Freya spoke up when Cain drew close. She was referring to Arthur, it seemed. "Hundreds dead, for retaking a free city. A prince still lost to the enemy's grasp, and the enemy still present in Tatakai. I trust that you handled yourself well?"
-
“.....Yes, I did.” Cain would say. “Commander Freya, I have a request.”
-
"Go ahead." Freya responded, now facing him. She was pale, those light orange eyes filled with a depth of confusion, yet still pumping with the experiences of the front lines. The eyes of a fighter, after battle.

“Commander Freya, I followed your orders. I breached the wall, occupied the tribunes troops and eliminated a dark archer that brought his fury upon your forces. In return, I seek an audience. With you liege, King Armillion.”
-
"A private audience? I can attempt to enable that, I suppose.. Though you will be forced into a disabled state, before your meeting. Your weapons would be taken for a time, alongside your armoring, while you would be rendered to your standard, regular state. The king takes every available precaution.. Additionally.. my father still shields himself with the loyal Lionknights - practically his personal guard. They would end a threat's life with a single word.. terribly heartless bunch. Cain.. I don't believe that you would be comfortable, in such a state. Are you sure that you'd admit to those conditions?" Freya seemed concerned, if anything. A genuine concern for her follower, yet concern for her father too.. "Is there anything else that you require?"
-
“That my sister is allowed to come as well.” He would ask of her. Cain’s intent was not violent to begin with, his goal was to pinpoint the kings judge of character. “I’ll submit to any demands, of course. She will do the same.”
-
"I didn't take your sister to be the type. The type to bother with figures of nobility, but.. very well, Cain. I will send word that one of my trusted cooperators would wish to speak to the King, in private." Freya would nod, sighing.

Cain would nod in thanks to Freya, Bowing his head for a moment. After this, he would leave her.... And prepare. Was he crazy? Maybe....but he had to know who he was fighting for. The fate of Tatakai depended on it.
