In Lore we have heard about guardians that have not seen eye to eye with the vanguard. We know about the faction wars.
Why not add something like Dark Guardians, something in the game with hard as hell AI?
Who else would like to see rogue guardians?
We could use a Sith to our Jedi.
Or if you are a 40K fan
A Chaos to our Space Marines
-
How about Darkness consumed Guardians? Or Siva Guardians?
-
We already have rogue guardians. The reason the iron lords existed was because of guardian tyrants. The makers and lore of Thorn, Red Death, and bad juju are rogue guardians
-
The closest we had to rogue guardians were the iron lords when their corpses were controlled by SIVA. I still want to see some other rogue guardians though.
-
Rouge Gaurdians is and has been a good idea, but they'd be kinda tricky. Alot of hard work would have to go into it.
-
I would personally like to fight race that can speak English because most of the enemies don't speak English and the fallen just have dialogue/chatter that is translatable. Also the Halo enemies spoke English. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FXRHVKFbm0U)

do it one better, allow players to become rogue if they want to and enable pvp in the open world, where the rogues can kill the normal players, and people could get bounties and shit by killing normal players and then rogue players can hunt them down and shit, and get rewards and shit if they manage to find and kill them.
-
The Concordat could fit the bill.
-
Ya no this isn’t a new idea it’s been around for awhile

Edited by ArillatheMun: 12/16/2017 9:40:15 PMI don't think it would work. Gaurdians are corpses. Guardians are only alive because of the light in our ghosts. Ghosts are "part" of the traveler. Rogue Guardian = Ghost simply leaves = living corpse crumples or atleast dies eventually. The traveler once served the Fallen. perhaps the fallen are your "rogue guardians" MattPatt does a pretty cool theory on what the traveler is. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y5NbEjkkPlI

Edited by Meaty-Yeet: 12/17/2017 10:48:36 PMSorry I didn't understand till the last line. Thank god someone else speaks tyranid. Don't you mean chaos space marine as normal chaos would include daemons.

I think it would be a mistake not to have a type of rogue guardian enemy at some point of this game. We've heard all the stories about Dredgen Yor and from the looks of it he has a few guardians that you could say are followers, or fanboys.
-
Why not make these rogue guardians a separate player faction? Like in WoW where there is Horde and Alliance.
-
I was hoping that when taken king came out we would fight taken guardians. I was wrong but taken and rouge guardians would be cool
-
They have existed before so no idea why they couldn't again, would make for a really awesome enemy. A DLC that has a plethora of new warlords rise without the iron lords to beat them this time would be amazing. Could also finally get a strike and enemies that aren't re-skinned enemies we have been fighting for years.
-
How about adding the Bungie DEVs?
-
. Interesting concept. Let's start with the most basic implementation approach. You start an quest (like the legend of Acruis) where you get infected by the vex, aka like fail-safe's captain . One of those steps is to, say, take out 300 guardians, the reward at the end of the entire quest a bad ass evil weapon that was banned by the traveller. Similar to pvp they would show up red on the radar and warning messages would appear stating 'vexed brained washed' guardians are roaming the planet. The "evil" guardians roam the planet and take on other guardians (only public places and not strikes etc) .. The normal planet spawn points are disabled etc to make sure ppl don't just camp at a location. Just shooting from hip and I am sure others could expand on it. Could be fun though. Can you imagine a public event fighting not only the cabal but rouge guardians as well.

...do you know what a Guardian is?

Edited by Upstagetick4: 12/16/2017 6:35:48 PMThe devs should bring in to the fold a group of warlords who survived the attack from the Iron Lords and have since been in hiding waiting for the chance to take there revenge with there unique versions of supers. The warlords would be introduced in a way like, we receive a sos beacon from the Iron Lords Felwinters peak temple. we went the temple and find a broken ghost and the statues of the Iron lords broken and crumpled, the walls lined with holes and scorch marks. We continue moving to find lord Saladin sitting against a way injured badly and with his ghost destroyed now, he is just a normal human. (With this like 3-5 minute introduction we would already be terrified of these Warlords because they able to defeat lord Saladin) We are then taken back to the tower or another location to continue the story. the story we take use somewhere to become stronger and then we with kill the leader of the warlords and live happily ever after with the a couple of rogue guardians popping up here and there.

We could use a Sith to our Jedi going to see last Jedi had to say it
-
The problem with making another enemy type is you need to have enough rogue guardians in missions to make it interesting. Lore-wise, there’s probably no more than 20 rogue guardians we know about. Maybe enough for one mission, but even then, it’s not worth designing, coding, or bug testing for the dev team.
-
<tfw the entire 5th enemy race is full of -blam!-ing Darkness-hosting space dudes and dudettes.>
-
They'd be the Rod Stewart and Barry Manilow of the Destiny world. No thanks.
-
The rogue guardians would be the Concordat and no they are in no way connected to the darkness
-
This isn't a new race. Its just evil gurdians
