Definitely early access...
-driving up a hill, bump into a rock and my jeep is clipping into and can't move
-mad pop in yo
-control scheme is atrocious
-frame drops everywhere
-map looks terrible from plane
-mad texture pop in yo
-did i mention I'm playing on Xbone X?
Here are some quotes from some friends and I from playing.
-"aye bruh where yo shotgun go? Your hands up and everything, but nothing's there."
-"aye chris, watchover me, the games not letting me move"
-"how do you heal? This button scheme is butt"
- "the way you ADS is stupid"
-"peeking on controller is trash"
Games not that bad on console, definitely needs more work than the PC version. Which still has issues despite officially launching over there soon (or is it out yet?).
Xbone version is also a preview.

I play on the Xbone S... graphics are like playing something from the late 90’s and performance is garbage tier.
-
I can't even imagine how bad it is on the OG xbone. All comments I see around the Internet are people saying they are playing it on the X.

Feel free to add in your OP.

Still getting scammed by early access games over there eh? When does ark 'release', 2073?
-
Haven’t played it yet on console, but so far it looks more like a 360 game.

Pc officially launches I believe like around the 20th (I'm not sure but it's near ready). Even on PC the game is an absolute technical mess, people are kidding themselves saying otherwise so I'm not surprised xbox port is crap either, it's even more expected since console hardware is inferior to a PC. That said the game can still be fun as long as one is patient or tolerant if the issues. I've been playing since Xbox launch and I'm loving it (I knew I would in the first place, big fan of a battle Royale concept and I'm one of those tolerant people on technical issues). That said, game has arguably one of the worst controls ever, it just shows how hard it is to port a pc exclusive game over to a console, it shows the issues of a controller too when incorporating pc gameplay to it, another thing people are kidding themselves if they said otherwise. When your controller is required for you tap buttons, hold buttons, press buttons, etc etc then your controller is running out of room for button uses. Inventory management suffers the most from this (it only takes seconds to loot in PC, not so much on Xbox and that WILL result in players dieing while looting).

The controls are seriously not that bad. My second game after reading the control schemes I got it down. Yes, the framerate drops and pop-in's are a little bad, but it's in Game Preview. It literally warns you about the fact that this is an incomplete product. You payed for something that is going to be glitchy, and it's our job to report this to the devs to get everything smoothed out by the time it releases.

I remember ARK survival being a total glitchy mess when it first came to console, definitely worse than the current state of PUBG. I'm very positive the console experience will be improved over time.

There is a way to get better fps
-
Don't forget the insane input lag
-
It'll get better.
Hopefully
-
I kinda expected this tbh

It's not too bad on the X at all imo considering this is pubg we're talking about. I actually thought it would be way worse than it is. Resolution never degrades and very little pop in if any at all, the only thing is the frame rate will dip in the 20s sometimes but it's unfinished as advertised. It works tho and I'm sure it'll get better on base hardware and on the X

still want keyboard and mouse for console games like these

Edited by Dylan: 12/14/2017 3:00:51 AMI got used to the control scheme within a few matches. Definitely needs to be improved but it isn't terrible. What is terrible is the framerate and constant pop in. Honestly I'd be fine if I could play with lower graphics for a consistent 60fps if that was an option. I hope they find ways to optimize it and improve the game somehow.
