The aim of this post is to simply bring to light official complaints filed against Bungie, dating back to 2015, through the Better Business Bureau. The fraudulent business practices seen in Curse of Osiris is nothing new for this developer, just new to the next wave of players they have lured into their money racket. So in hopes of detouring future victims, have a look at these complaints and save your money.
Directly from BBB.org:
On October 28, 2015, BBB recognized a pattern of complaints from consumers regarding delivery and customer service issues. Consumers allege products they ordered do not ship on time, although the order status states the items have been fulfilled. Consumers further allege the company is unresponsive to requests for assistance.

I've got a lot joy from Bungie's games and loved Halo. So I was very positive coming into Destiny. It was a fun game up until they decided to lock off content from the game because DLC dropped. This was content that was part of the original game that you would lose access to for up to a week that itself is awful. After all its a part of something I had already payed and bought. After about the 3rd week of this I gave in and begrudgingly bought the DLC. All just to get access to something I already had before. They're blocking off vanilla content just to premote and force people into buying more content instead of just making it so people without the new content could keeprobably playing uneffected. Now they're about to remove old features entirely for knew ones that can only be accessed by another DLC purchase. Their essentially forcing you to keep paying more and more for a game you already own. This isn't the way the game was marketed. If I had known they'd cut up the orginal game and keep slamming it's players into pay walls I wouldn't have bothered putting in so much time into this game. If the new content was actually worth it they wouldn't have to sell it this way. For a company known to produce great games and add Destiny has been a bit of a disappointment.

Since releasing Destiny, Bungie has constantly lied, and made false promises to it's customers. Now with the "Paywall" they have created with the "Taken King" locking out content gamer's had already paid for. They have shortly become the most underhanded and greedy developer in video game history.

Bungie is a company that does not care about its customers. They have locked all of the content that customers have previously purchased behind a paywall. This company also locks players out of content that they paid for by not including a standard feature such as matchmaking in the game.

In January of 2015, my son purchased Destiny, a Bungie game. I liked it enough to buy in for half, which let him buy the first two "expansions" in June. When Bungie released the third expansion ("The Taken King"), Bungie completely and irrevocably altered the game in such a way as to remove difficulty selection, certain activities and a whole host of items, without any way to replace those things unless you purchase the expansion, effectively rendering our purchase of the original game unreasonably invalid. While I understand the "always on" nature of the game, we did not purchase until after the first expansion was released, and did not purchase the expansion pass until both were released. We feel we had a reasonable expectation of how Bungie would treat expansions, and the release of The Taken King has capriciously treated owners of the original and first two expansions as though they have little right to the game they purchased. This game is not a subscription, and we should not need continue paying Bungie to receive the same level of game we had previous to the "update." Activision (the publisher of this game) and Bungie are attempting to set a newly reduced level of "ownership" for the content we have already purchased, and *I* feel this needs to be addressed, before it becomes an industry standard.

Bungie falsely advertises the content and features in their game Destiny. Never mind that the "cinematic storytelling" didn't exist in the game, but was advertised on the box (I can live with this). But worse, they locked content from those who didn't buy their latest expansion, The Taken King. When confronted, they hide behind an agreement that you are implied to have agreed to, without warning that they can and will remove features and content at any time. This is never made clear at time of purchase. They are unwilling to solve any issues regarding this, and lie to government offices regarding what has and has not been locked away in their product, in order to force sales of their latest expansion without penalty. Consumers need to be protected from unscrupulous business such as this, but it seems money talks, and nothing is ever done about it. I have been fighting with this issue since September 15, 2015, with no good resolution in sight. I once fully supported Bungie and Destiny, but because of their immoral business practices, cannot support them any longer. While their game Destiny is quite good, the company is run by greedy executives that don't care about their consumers at all. Their agreement is not law, and should not be regarded as such. It would be like signing an agreement with a housing developer, where you buy the house, they build it, but at any time they reserve the right to periodically lock doors in your home unless you pay them a fee. All without showing you this agreement at time of purchase. You are implied to have been in agreement as long as you live in the home you paid for in full. Where is the consumer protection regarding this issue? Why are game developers allowed to do this? Consumers need to be protected. They need rights. According to Bungie, you have none. To quote a Bungie employee regarding the issue: "Additionally, the retail box and relevant agreements clearly state that Bungie and Activision reserve the right to limit, restrict or otherwise change a purchaser’s access to Destiny without notice." This was one of their excuses regarding locking content that was previously paid for, and accessible prior to The Taken King "expansion". They admitted they modified access to the game. Do not buy a Bungie product unless you go online and read the terms and conditions for that product. They will use this implied agreement to allow them to take advantage of you any time they see fit, regardless of any local consumer protection law they may violate.
Edit: and these are just a few.
