Was kicking around thoughts with the clan mates earlier and, having played some other games that do it, was thinking that Bungie could really utilize clans to increase player engagement if they continued to evolve the clan concept. So here's my thoughts on it: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ [b]Clan Social Space:[/b] - An area where clan members, or friends in their accompanying fireteam, could fly to and interact with each other. It would have an area chat channel so that clan members could easily chat and connect - Make the area customizable. With pooled resources the clan can build up sections of this area to improve the aesthetic and make it fun. Have a giant flag with your clan's banner waving from it somewhere. - A special vendor that sells you shaders that align with your clan colors. Also sells XP tokens to burn while running with fireteams and even weapons that will bear your clans emblem (sort of like Dead Orbit and other factions). The vendor would also sell class specific armor bearing your banner. So the Hunter cloak would look like your clan banner, the Titan mark would do the same from the hip and the Warlock would have a band that had the clan colors yet projected a holographic version of the clan emblem. - Something like the soccer field areas we see in other social spaces that would give clan members an area to futz around together [b]Clan Staves & Banners:[/b] - The clan stave currently is strictly aesthetic piece. Would be awesome if the stave allowed you to carry over a perk from the season it was earned in. None of the perks tip the balance of the game unfairly. It would be added incentive to get your clans to max level before the end of the season - When loading into the Crucible or Trials with a fireteam full of clan members, have the clan banner show up somewhere to represent. Like on the final score screen and/or during the intro. [b]In Game Clan LFG and Chat:[/b] - Bungie.net and the Companion app are not super reliable for engaging with clan members. Notifications come in late (if at all) and it gets clunky playing the game and trying to keep an eye on the chat via phone/PC to see who's up for activities. In addition to existing resources, add an in game clan chat channel or LFG. Maybe make it so that we can select one of the Companion chat channels to populate the latest text in the lower right of the screen (can be turned on/off) so that clan members can see who's trying to reach out in the chats for help. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Anyways, that's my two cents!
