game unplayable, destiny servers refuse to communicate with my PC

After purchasing and downloading the expansion pass content dropped earlier this week, I haven't been able to get past the title screen. After pressing enter, I get a message saying the destiny 2 servers are unavailable. The game doesn't crash or send me back to my desktop, just keeps trying in vain to contact the servers. My network is active, I can run destiny 2 on other computers on my network, just not my PC. My drivers and software are up to date and I checked to make sure my firewall isn't blocking the modem ports for destiny. Uninstalled battlenet and destiny 2, reinstalled. Repeated. Spoke on the phone with battlenet and they said this is an issue with bungie- so here I am, contacting you folk via the only way to get at you. Fix my ish please, I've spent 10+ hours of my time researching this BS and I need to see some responsive customer service rep taking some real steps towards resolving this issue or I'm going to need a full refund for the game + expansion pass because this is p unacceptable.
