Edited by Stealthy: 12/6/2017 5:25:35 PMTdB introduced the sword conjuring public events TdB added the „Urzok the Hated“ event in 2 versions, one was damn hard for most players. TdB did not add old exotics but brand new ones. CoO ads 4 new exotic armor pieces. TdB added 2 raid ships TdB added 1 raid sparrow TdB added 3 whole sets of raid gear with custom perks TdB added primaries that werde so good they were later turned into exotics
-
don't forget to mention that almost nobody returned for this DLC...its about the sandbox at this point and very high player abandonment. nothing in curse to bring them back
-
The Dark below : was the birth of the legendary all powerful OG black hammer. That alone makes it better !
-
You can’t explore the infinite forest on patrol anyway. Its a massive missed opportunity to have it on patrol and fill it with patrols and loot. After a couple of times you find yourself running past enemies to the gates because its a waste of time to kill them
-
TDB was worth the $20, not this pos
-
I can’t speak for everyone but when TDB came out I wasn’t even finished with vanilla Destiny, as a player who put in 3-5 hours a day, I only had one character level 29, I got my last piece of VoG armor right after the DLC launched. But with CoO everyone was finished with this game months ago, and this DLC doesn’t change the game enough to make those people want to return.
-
Dark Below had replayable content and great weapons to grind for.
-
Tdb items locked behind eververse - 0 Curse of Osiris eververse- endgame
-
You cant compare the two... Curse of osiris had 3 years of feedback behind it. So it should be a lot better... but its not.
-
Yeah, and people forget that when TDB dropped, Bungie moved the hard mode of the VoG and other activities behind a paywall, so you had to buy TDB in order to play that stuff! Oh...wait...no they didn't....
-
The Dark Below brought the black hammer, more elemental primaries and VoG became more accessible. Nightfalls were fun. Everyone was running Crota's end for a black hammer. Everyone was running their nightfalls first on reset. Oh and solar burns strikes were so fun with black hammer and gjallarhorn
-
After all the adventures heroic and not also all the story missions you’d think you can return to the infinite forest HAHAHA. Nope you can’t So much for it being “infinite”
-
There were no "exotic" ships and Sparrows in D1. And it's an idiotic thing in D2 and it means literally nothing. Using that as a comparison is misleading. Also TDB DID have new ships and sparrows that came with the raid.
-
<5? I counted 8. Gateway Whatever the second mission on Earth's called Beyond Infinity The Pyramidion one Tree of Probabilities (also a strike) Hijacked Garden World (also a strike) Omega I mean even if you don't count the strikes its still 6.>
-
The colony is not a spider launcher it shoots ants. They are INSECToids not arachnidoids. Because of the name you are more likely to shoot ants then spiders. Spiders arent insects.

Biased fanboy alert

Three years of feedback and all we got is “an improvement to dark below”? I feel like CoO should have been part of vanilla destiny 2.
-
I think you are being a bit generous by saying "new planet to explore." You can lightly jog the entirety of it in 2 minutes.
-
Don't know if anyone else cared or cares to mention it but lore wise this doc is a -blam!-ing home to what the Dark Below was. Also the fact that these 2 dlc released 3 years apart, after lessons should have been learned, are comparable is proof enough of how good this dlc isn't. Ffs it should have been free
-
remove 2 strikes since it is just 2 story missions labelled as strikes
-
Go watch the dark below intro and go watch the CoO intro, and tell me which one feels more “destiny”.
-
I am one of those D1 veterans that has been disappointed with D2, but I will say this DLC is a big improvement. I pray since Bungies ass is on fire, that they continue to aggressively press forward with improvements.
-
Well that DLC had a better raid than we got in D2 so I'm going with Crota>Osiris.
-
The thing that worries me about all of this, i dont know how may of you guys have seen , but someone posted on the forums(here) bungie is looking for a new dev speciically for the micro shop which i sdepressing. One of the biggest problems with d2 in my opinion is all the stuff we used to earn from, trials , raids, iron banner ect is in that optional cash shop. I know they have to make money , but if you make good content for us to play it will sell itself literally , everyone who plays destiny wants the game to be amazing , but it seems bungie just wants the most cash for the smallest effort and this dlc is supposed to last us until spring it should have had more for us to do i dont care how big a dlc is if theres a lot for me to do im fine paying 20 bucks. You can have a huge zone and nothing to do and it would be shit , if they fill mercury with more sutff to do and open the forest for us to patrol too id be happy with dlc then and you might get some people to stick around until dlc 2 , but as it stands right now i dont see osiris lasting us that long without them loosing atleast half their current playerbase.

your 2 strikes are just story missions with a higher power lever, how original. D2 vanilla had meditations which is basically the same thing.
