This post is just focusing on the fundamentals of crucible gameplay and not features such as game modes, weapon balance.
Simply D2 feels like we're quite restricted in our gunplay, i am all for balance but that's not synonymous with dry gameplay, where the skill ceiling is lowered to accomodate casuals.
I believe the following will create a solid foundation for all future improvements to be built off:
Vastly increase the accuracy of shooting in the air. This will make mobility more viable in duels and will just create more options to out deal your opponents. Naturally some weapons will have better in air accuracy than others.
Increase grenade and melee ability recharge, I'm not suggesting the Crucible become ability simulator, but having access to your tools more often than not increases the chance of impressive plays.
Remove ALL RNG related mechanics from Crucible, things like bloom etc...
Remove sniper rifle and linear fusion rifle flinch and movement sway, as these are now power weapons, these changes will ensure it dominates in its niche, similarly to the other power weapons.
Remove ALL flinch from Crucible, this one change will help improve the comeback factor when engaging in duels and lower frustration.
Ensure all weapon types perform in their intended range, auto's should not be as well rounded as they are.
Slightly decrease time to kill

Played lots of pew pew games competitively and here is my list of vital things destiny 2 needs in order to become a competitive game in the PC arena. Dedicated Servers I've given the hybrid p2p a go, it's ok but not cutting it for competitive.(to many instances of people not taking damage) No 3rd person elements Swords and emotes allow people to see around corners not good in any competitive FPS game. Aim Assist We have stats everywhere that apply aim assist, you can't balance aim assist vs no aim assist, simply put a low skilled mouse and keyboard player vs a low skilled pad player using a gun with +100 aim assist stat will be getting smashed 24/7, you mentioned the PC version could go in another direction from console version this stat needs replacing along with aim assist in PVP. Radar Currently removes all elements of surprise and it's not fun to stare at a radar 24/7 (no longer need my headset) maybe fine for casual but definitely should not be in competitive. (should only show people shooting or be removed) Hitbox Not sure if it's the p2p or they are just massive but it seems impossible to miss shots o.O All in all i find destiny a fun game, the game play is there but it needs a few tweaks to make it competitive worthy! with private games coming early next year these are a few things i feel will be vital for the PC competitive arena. Anyways that's my thought's thanks for reading!
